I went to the premiere of War of the worlds( I won the tickets on the radio since I was the 10th caller) I got 3 free tickets(so I took my parents) and we all got free popcorn/soda. The people from the radio station were there & there was a contest afterwards for someone to win season tickets(for a year) to the movie theater... so everyone who was there filled out the tickets, Once the credits of the movie rolled the annouced the ticket numbers and the winner's name AND Guess what? I won!!!! I cant believe it... So I'm going to see lots of Cillian movies!!! I plan to see Batman Begins at least another 5 or 6 times & red eye when it comes out,..... -GloryDawn

Nice one Glorydawn! That's great, and so well timed LOL. Was War any good? The trailers have been less than inspiring to me (not a big fan of Spielberg or Cruise either).

War of the worlds was okay, but I saw Batman Begins afterwards (for the second time). Let's just say I'd see BB more times before WOTW.

Personally, I thought Speilberg took his brains out and put them in blender while making that movie.... but maybe it's just my growing hate for Tom Cruise with his whole recent publicity ramblings... or maybe the fact that yeah I agree the ending was horrible - if I left before the end maybe I would have liked it a little.
Dakota Fanning's really good though, talk about an up-coming talent

( i lov emorgan lol) and the girl was very convincing..... it was worth the money... but it wasn't perfect

I got 30 free tickets for two different cinemas. Talk about useful friends, Alex is working for Columbia Tristar. So he's on like, every German premiere of some movie... and gets me free tickets! WotW was better than I had expected, but the ending was blaaaah. I liked Robbie though. But the kid... was annoying. Great acting of her, I must admit. Tom Cruise wasn't that great at all.

Yeah. I don't like him comparing himself to Spielberg and all that crap... He just went totally overboard. And the Katie Holmes publicity stuff ain't helping either.
