Hey, I recently applied for a job at a clothing store T.J Maxx (I don't know if its a national chain, so I don't know if you've heard of it)
So, I don't have my date yet, but when I do go in what should I expect? I know I have to dress nice, and I know I'll probably have to ask some questions too etc, etc..But...
the inevitable question is probably going to be "Why do you want to work here?" and the truth is...I just need a job and money so I can get my permit....But, obviously I can't say that...
SO, what's some good BS to tell them? remember it's a clothing store.

Nope! That's not bad! lol I'm good at BSing. Don't try to exagerrate anything like, "I REALLY love your store and it would be an honor to work here." lol That's too much. Do mention that you would like to work at a place like that and also how it seems like a friendly environment. BS as much as you want but of course, make it believable! Other questions they might ask if what are some good qualities you have and what qualities you want to work on (or what are your worst). What would you do if one of your friends stole merchandise, how would you balance out catering to customers and stocking shelves...stuff like that. Some real good advice is to always smile...never frown or look nervous at an interview! Be polite, too. Good luck!

Smile, be yourself, be honest and impress them.

what can I say it's a gift of mine! Make sure if you BS it's something you can easily backup should you really need to. There's nothing worse than BSing something that you can't backup, it becomes obvious, and you are messed up!

whatever you're BSing, look confident. make it seem totally implausible that you'd be lying, and of course don't say anything too wildly inaccurate. good luck with that!

QS...so how'd you do on your interview? Inquiring minds want to know! If the job is to your liking, I hope you got it! Well, I called the store and I asked to speak to the manager. I basically said "Hello, I applied on the internet to your store a couple of day ago, are you still hiring?" and he said he was looking through applications, so I gave him my name..No news yet.
