I finished the play today. I'm aware I missed a lot of shading because I don't really know much about the situation of Ireland in 1907. I have a lot of questions, but I hesitate to ask because a) I could probably find out if I read some criticism on the play b) I don't know if anyone else has read it yet?
In any case, I found it very interesting and very bleak. The characters were fascinating though all of them very flawed. I'd love to ask Cillian what he thinks this play, being almost 100 years old, has to offer 21st century audiences? Maybe he has already answered this question?

The play sounds good, I'd go check it out at the library, but I think my BoP book is two months over due.
