Hedwigsgal, if you want to go the same time as I do, I'm going to see the show on Friday the 16th and the final one (not the matinee) on Saturday the 17th. Plus, going on those days gives a little extra time to build up some cash.

It is closing early due to "contractual obligations". That means it is not making the amount of money per week required to keep it open. They use that phrase so that people think one of the stars has to leave early, or that the theater is needed for another show, but that is not true.

Wow! Poor Cillian. I am really shocked. I figured you put Cillian in a show it would makeit. I mean there are people coming from America to see the show. Thanks for the info vor. Amanda that is what I am planning. I am trying to reset up everything and I am hoping it all works out. So If it does work out I'll be seeing ya.

Well after making the calls and trying to figure out my cash situation. I am not going. There is no way. Those extra few weeks were important. Plus Feb. is the worst month for me to take off. I am still going on the trip I just don't get to go to the play. *sobs* I guess it wasn't meant to be. Amanda I am so happy for you and remember to give us every detail. Same with you guys VoR and Punctuator. So any other ways I can get a chance to meet Cillian.lol. I really wanted to see him act on stage. OK, I am going to jump out my window now. Don't worry I live on the garden level. I would have to jump up then out.lol

I'm so sorry, hedwigsgal! I'm sure Cillian will do another play, though. He really seems to be passionate about being onstage.

Believe me, Cillian is NOT the problem with "Love Song." He's very, very good in it. But the play itself is flawed-- what's been driving me nuts is that I know almost exactly how I'd fix it-- and there's one verrrrry weak link in the cast. Not to name names or nothin', but the first letter of his/her first n-n-n-name just appeared a whole lotta times in this sentence.
Briefly, the play has one big logical gap in it, and it's too short. It needed to have more meat on its bones, writing-wise, to hold its own in the West End, which is currently thriving on mega-musicals like "Spamalot" and powerhouse prose pieces like "Nixon/Frost."
Just observations. Maybe when it's all crawled to a halt, I'll post my suggested "missing scenes" over in the fanfiction section-- and won't THAT be weird...?

You know I was so shocked to hear about it closing early. I just think Cillian is such a gifted actor that anything could make it as long as he was in it. I figured the week link was ummm... N. The other actors are great and have wonderful timing. I know. Cillian did his character justice. I don't need to se it to know that. Punctuator afterthe play is over I would love if you filled us in on some juicy bits

Well, guys, I've done it. I called the New Ambassadors Theatre and got in touch with the manager and she suggested sending a letter directly to Cillian via the stage door, so it's in the mail. So I'm going to go ahead and start taking questions for just incase he says yes to an interview.
What do you want to ask Cillian?

Actually I do have a question if you do meet Cillian for an interview. Hope it works out!
Is it hard doing an american accent? (or something along that line) Were you suprised to receive a golden globe nomination?]
Thanks

How about something about how he chooses his projects? And are there are any types of roles that he isn't really interested in doing? Is emotional complexity more important than action? Does it matter?
