NO NO NO!
DAMMIT.
Dang.
WELP.
Looks like that's when I'm going. XD
I reckon I'll book flights tonight.
When are you two rescheduling your tickets for? 'Cause I'm pretty much not going until the closing night(s).

I'm not sure which nights we switched for (Punctuator is on that). We will now be in London from the 6th-11th or such. I think we are seeing the show Tuesday and Friday of that week for sure. We wanted to be there for the closing, but I can't get that week off work.
At least the tickets have dropped in price for each show (can we say fire sale).

I've already seen it thankfully... but why is it closing early? I mean, it's because it's not going really well, is it?

So sad. =(
Punctuator and VOR, how did you order your Oyster stuffs for the Tube? I went to the Tube's website and then went to try and order an Oyster card but it says I can't since I don't live in London (it was talking all about how I didn't have the correct zip code).
Also, where have you guys decided to stay? I tried to reserve at the Ruskin like I was going to back in December, but it's sold out on the days I'm looking. I'm thinking of staying at the Hotel California. xP It's about 1.68 miles from the theater, but it's just across the street from King's Cross underground station, so that's good! Plus... King's Cross!
I feel sick. I'm trying to set this all up RIGHTNOW. GAH.

Amanda, I sent you some info in a personal note. Punctuator found a super cool map on line. Send her a line and I bet she could hook you up with that.
The play can't really be doing all that well. When you check the theater's ticket site all the tickets are now discounted through the end of the run.
The other bummer for us. The Tempest with Patrick Stewart won't be running during our new visiting days. I guess we will have to go see him in Antony and Cleopatra instead.

Amanda, hi: Here's the link for Travelcards. (On the Tube main page, look for the word "visitor"!): www.ticket-on-line.com/cgi-bin/web_finder.exeLooks like we're seeing the show Thursday February 8 and Friday February 9. Had to re-shuffle things a bit to get good tickets for "Antony & Cleopatra," VOR! The situation at the New Ambassadors box office seems a little chaotic right now. (Amanda, I'll IM you their alternate box office phone number-- one that's easier for dialing from the States.) Good luck!

Is it a bad idea to book tickets online?

For the play or the Tube? I'd say it's okay for both-- I just sent along the box office number in case you needed to swap tickets you might already have. The travel folks can have your Travelcard sent out in seven business days or so.

You are both amazing, just so the two of you know. I'm glad I didn't purchase tickets last night like I'd originally planned! Sometimes procrastination is a good thing... just don't tell anyone. =P
So, okay, I'v just booked tickets for both Friday, February 16th, and Saturday, February 17th. And I've got a hotel. Now all I have to do is wait on this silly deposit to go through for my flight! SHEW. Today has been crazy hectic, it looks like, for everyone!
It sucks that I didn't get to catch you guys this time around. Punctuator, are you still planning to go to the Sunshine premiere if we've got one in the States? Maybe we'll meet each other at that one!

Holy cow, I don't know how much more "travel excitement" this old bat can take. (Or, for that matter, how much more "travel excitement" my poor Visa can take!) Looks like I may have to give the "Sunshine" premiere a pass.... (Actually, it kinda came down to what I know and feel comfortable with-- the dependable gloom and [semi-] set dates and locations in London versus possible sun [IT BURNS!] in Los Angeles [maybe: who knows...?] and unknown dates [yep!] and locations [see the Los Angeles guess] for the "Sunshine" premiere. They've done almost too good a job keeping that sucker under wraps, haven't they...? )

Yeah, I'm kinda broke, too. xP It's pretty worth it, though, I suppose.
But I think Gia said on the other forum something about finding out international-stuffs on Thursday--which is tomorrow--so I'm hoping she'll let us know something about all that tomorrow!

Hedwigsgal, I hope you read this girl! Yep, I got all my messages and read this thread. At first I was soooo upset. Now I am trying to figure out what to do. All I know is I have to go. Anyone find out for sure why it is closing early?
