Hello people,
I am new today. I know this is an ancient thread, but POTWW is a play that strikes a dagger in me heart. I am in Perth Australia, and Druid's production of Playboy was touring here early 2005. Cause for excitement yeah? All the publicity, articles and poster stated that Mr Murphy was playing Christy Mahon, so muggins me and some gullible mates bought a bunch of front-row seats to every night, and held our breath in anticipation. Of course, the inevitable happened, and some other dude played the part at late notice. Still a good play, lots of laughs, but we were devastated after the build-up to what it might have been. This is the trouble with living in the most isolated city in the world. Even if I was allowed to swear, it wouldn't quell me disappointment.

Sure it would be! Ohhh, I'm a theater lover, I'd die if I'd ever see Mr. Murphy acting live; really, I mean it: He -and his work- is my inspiration.
