I am starting this thread for the late & great Jonathan Brandis, may he rest in peace.
I, guiltily, admit to only learning of his passing a few weeks ago. When he actually passed back in 2003.
He was THE FIRST guy I EVER liked. And I mean EVER! It started with the character of Mozenrath(voiced by Jonathan) in Aladdin the series when I was...5-6 years old. Then, seeing him as Lucas on SeaQuest DSV. And the Neverending Story2, & Ladybugs, & Sidekicks, etc. The list goes on. He made many great films with some fairly diverse roles, & superb acting the whole way.
He commited suicide in 2003, at the age of 27. I've been grieving since I found out. Watching tribute videos of him on Youtube, crying myself to sleep each night, joined the JB.org forum. I can't believe he's gone....
And I only realized recently because I never knew his real name. Like I said, I first heard/saw him as Mozenrath & Lucas on SeaQuest, but...I was 5-6 years old! I didn't know his real name, I thought his characters were him. Lucas was Lucas, there was no one playing him to me, he just was. And then as I grew up I saw his other films...& remember thinking 'I know that voice! I know that face', but I still never found out his real name. The memories didn't connect.
This thread, is to share any praises, thoughts, memories, etc. That you have of Jonathan. And please, no bashing. It's made to be a respectful thread in dedication to a wonderful human being & superb actor that many loved.
