I haven't gotten to finish the Da Vinci Code yet. It's in my bedroom and I'm about halfway through it. It's amazing. I can't wait to see the movie. I just can't imagine Tom Hanks portraying the lead. lol. It's kinda comical in a way. Nothing against Tom Hanks or anything.

Yeah, I can't really seehim playing the lead either. He just doesn't fit the image I had in my head of Langdon. The trailer was awesome, I just hope the movie isn't a letdown, like other book-film ones.

Yeah, true.
Though... great things have been said about Ron Howard.

I am really looking forward to this film. The trailer is wicked. I'm currently in the midst of reading the book, although I keep stopping and starting due to the demands of Uni coursework. Grrrr. The cast seems stellar like Tom Hanks, Paul Bettany and Ian McKellen. Audrey Tautou is an amazing actress and Amelie is one of my favourite films so, I'm looking forward to seeing her in this one too.

I agree with you Shannon and Blue. The last person I would have thought of to play Langdon was Tom Hanks. I'm surprised Dan Brown didn't object to this because he went so far as actually comparing his main character to Harrison Ford. And that's who I had pictures as Langdon all along anyway because the book had an Indiana Jones type vibe. Oh well, I'll be seeing it either way. I'm happy they, at least, picked someone good for Fache's character. I love Jean Reno!

I think they needed someone a bit more... I dunno, roguish and adventurous seeming.

He agreed with our statement about Tom Hanks. He pictured somebody like Harrison Ford or... he mentioned Pierce Brosnan.

^ Pierce could definitely play Langdon.
I remember the first time I read the Da Vinci Code, I tuned out a whole school day to read it. I just stuck it in my binder or textbook and read it. Same with Angels & Demons. It's all good.

I could definitely picture Pierce Brosnan over anybody that I can think of at the moment.

I still think Dennis Quaid would have been perfect.

I'm very interesting in seeing this movie. My history teacher showed us like a documentary version from the History channel or something, and ever since then I've been wanting to see this movie.
