I watched the film, I'm currently reading the book and they're so good. And Malcolm McDowell was brillitant as Alex, who I love! Was it strange that I was as turned on by Alex as much as I was freaked out by him? Also, wouldn't Cillian be awesome as him? I can really see Cillian pulling a role like Alex off very well. Plus he was inspired to act when he saw a play of this. If a stage production of ACO was put up today, Cillian would be so perfect as Alex.

I think Alex is HOT.... scary, but HOT! About Cillian playin Alex, well I think he would be excellent. As long as they don't do a remake movie and it is a stage production, then yeah... I can totally see that happenin. As far as I recall, it was after seein a stage production of A Clockwork Orange when he decided to pursue acting

Oh no, you guys went there.lol. I love A Clockwork Orange. I remember sitting around in highschool saying all the words to it. I don't think it's weird that you found Alex to be sexy at all. He is very sexy and bad, very bad. The weird thing is how everyone feels bad for him after all the things he did. That's what makes the film so amazing. Malcolm McDowell was genius and everytime I see him I only see Alex. I still think he's sexy.lol. As for Cillian playing Alex, that would be perfect. He is perfect for Alex and he has said himself he would love to do the play. I would kill to see Cillian do that play. Ok, not really but sign me up for any other deviant act and I'm there.lol The book is good as well. Different but still good. I haven't read it in years. I think I will pick it up again. Thanks for reminding me.

I agree... Malcom was fantastic as Alex, no wonder it's his signature role. And of course Kubrick's directin was pure genious.

Most definitely! ACO is quite a Masterpiece... The way Kubrick gets the audience to actually feel sorry for Alex, is absolutely beyond me. And there's of course McDowell's terrific actin... I recall the exact word but I remember Kubrick sayin that if Malcom hadn't been available, he might not have made the film

LOL, that's awesome!
But really, if Cillian wasn't Irish or Malcolm wasn't British, I would've thought they were related somehow.

They do look alike, and they're both fantastic actors

I think they look alike, too...when I watched Clockwork Orange again some months ago, in the scene where they beat the drunk homeless, I thought 'god! he has the same profile of cilli' tehehe

I realized the same when I saw it again for like the tenth time, when Alex is in a suit fantasizin about the Bible massacres. Right before he opens his eyes, I was like 'OMG, he soo looks like Cillian'

Apparently so does my mom... she keeps callin Cillian "Baby Alex" Your mother is a genius!!! I wonder the chances of him doing this play. I would love to see him in the film but I could never imagine anyone capturing what Kubrick did. You just can't mess with perfection. Out of curiosity do you think there is any director that could do it justice? I think this film shouldn't be touched and I don't see Cillian touching it either. Yet, I am curious about what you all think.

Well my mom IS a genious, thank u very much What I like better is that she means well by callin Cillian Baby Alex. And I fully agree with u, that movie should remain untouched. I just can't see any director who would do it justice. Still, like Kizuna said if a stage production of ACO was put up, Cillian would be the perfect Alex... that I could see happenin. He'd be fantastic

He has mentioned that play being what started his passion for the stage. Maybe he will do it. We should make a date. The day he does ACO on stage we are all going!!! Front row ladies!! We should just rent a flat so we can watch it everyday it's out.lol
