It was the best damn movie I've seen in years! Julia and Jude were so-so...but It was Natalie Portman that impressed the hell out of me. And Clive! HOT DAMN that man is hot! He was brilliant! It's very adult theme but I recommend it to everyone here to see it.

Hmm, a critic from my local paper basically made fun of her performance, citing that she was like a little girl trying to fit into her mommy's shoes, but you know how that goes (critics ) They said that if someone was that emotionally charged/upset, they would not be spouting off so eloquently.

I have not seen it, though. The most recent movie I've seen at the theatre was Polar Express (took my 2 kids), but it was interesting and pretty to look at.

I am so glad Clive and Natalie were nominated for Golden Globes along with the film. I don't care what the negative things critics has said about this film, it's absolutely one of the best I've seen.

I've been impressed with Natalie Portman since Beautiful Girls and while the performances in Closer were all very fine I can't say I enjoyed watching this movie at all. I found each of the main characters completely dislikeable. I also thought the movie dropped the ball near the end - it really dragged in the last twenty minutes. I totally stopped caring about everyone in the scene in between Jude Law and Clive Owen when they're talking in Clive's office. It was becoming almost absurd. Just my two cents.

I loved CLOSER!! And the music - gaahh to die for! It is true that Natalie Portman is unfortunetly built like and has the voice of a ten-year-old girl but she trys. My only problem with her is that she acts the same in every role whether she's an intergalactic emporess or some corky ice-skater girl from Jersey, that's the only thing that bothers me but Closer, I thought, had a really great script with amazing acting on all parts though true - I actually stoped watching at the scene with Jude and Clive in the Office, I didn't care for the end after that...

But the soundtrack wow, great great great soundtrack - just like Garden State which Portman was in aswell so no matter we know she has good taste in music!

I loooved this movie...(JUDE LAW IS AMAZING), I loved how you really couldn't choose one character who was more likeable than another, they were all kind of screwed up equally...and I loved the script!!! "I don't kiss strange men" "Neither do I." haha so cute. And I thought they all had amazing chemistry!

and yeah, that song "The Blower's Daughter" by Damien Rice is realllly good.

yeah...my grandma and dad just seen it yesturday and they wouldn't let me take a peek...they didn't seem to like it I don;t know, maybe I will think different once I'm old enough to see it my self

I really love Closer. I thought it was brilliant!!!! Natalie and Jude are one my fav actors so I was real glad when I heard they were gonna be in a movie (again) together. lol

I love Jude law! This movie has got to be one of the most honest and hilarious films I’ve ever seen. I love the fact that there is NO action in the entire movie and its still intense as all get out. Simply art.
