I'll probably have to wait for the weekend, or maybe even the following weekend, after the crowds have died down a bit. Since my schedule has changed, I can't see matinees anymore during the week. Gone are the days when I could go and have only a few other audience members to contend with. Oh well... It's not fun for me to see any movie with a huge crowd, because they're so damn noisy and rowdy that I can't always hear the movie. Do theaters even have ushers anymore? But this is one that will be better on the big screen.

I love this part of the trailer. Elizabeth: " Hi, Jack." Jack turns around from the man he was speaking with. "Elizabeth!" He turns back to the man. " Hide the rum."
I'm really looking forward to this movie.

Let me guess, Johnny looked hot, as usual. I have a question, me and some friends were thinking about going to the midnight showing, do we get the tickets online or do we go the day off and pray there still there? Only a few more days till it comes out ;D

To be safe, I'd say get them online, or get there as soon as the theater opens and get tickets.

I usually rely on Fandango if I know it's going to be a really popular movie, especially if it's on opening day. Since it's summer and most kids are out of school, prepare for most shows opening day to be sold out, or at least very, very crowded. So, yeah, I recommend getting the tickets online ahead of time, even though there's a charge of something like $1.25 or $1.50 or so per ticket. It's worth it to me to avoid standing in a very long line on a hot day.
If the theater's a multiplex, there will also be a bunch of people there for other movies, as well, so the lines could be a real hassle. It's such a disappointment to wait in a long line, and then find out the movie's sold out, and so is the next showing, and the next...

haha omg I just came back from seeing this movie too!
my friends and I bought the tickets yesterday so we didn't have to worry about it being sold out and all. but the line was sooo freakin long when we got there. i had to randomly call out to this couple in the front and bribed them five bucks to let me cut. it was so ballsy - i'm quite surprised at myself.
anyways WASN'T THE FIGHT SCENE WITH ELIZABETH ASKING EVERYONE TO STOP THE CUTEST THING EVER!!!!?!?!?!
i kept laughing when the chest was going back and forth.
omg.
PEOPLE, SERIOUSLY.
watch this movie.
(btw, where's Aurora?!?!) ;D

I saw the midnight showing the other night and wow. So many people showed up, me and my friend Sam were crowded! POTC 2 DMC so surpassed the first one, it was awesome. My favorite part was the cannibals and the big ball! Sam and I at the midnight showing, we both dresses as pirates, but we have a squirl instead of a parate. (Sorry of all the spelling mistakes)

I might wait till next weekend, just so the lines are more reasonable.
I've read a lot of negative reviews now, and only a couple of really positive ones, but I'm still very sure I'll like it. I'd probably like it even more if I liked Orlando Bloom, but I don't. I know a lot of women think he's sexy, but he does absolutely nothing for me. OTOH, Johnny Depp makes up for that in spades.

Actually, this movie made me like Orlando Bloom all over again.
His character William is like, the good guy you always want to have. And Jack Sparrow is the weird fling that you can't stop thinking about.
Don't get me wrong... Johnny Depp still owns.
