Yeah! This movie made me have a lot of respect for Will... he's such a nice guy! I felt really sorry for him a lot of times... I take back what I said about Orlando earlier. Naomie Harris' character was awesome too. She's a great actress. The movie started out kinda slow... the beginning wasn't good enough for me... until Depp's entrance. hahaha you GOTTA love his entrance. The kiss shared made me feel a little weird but the chemistry was really kinda there. Lizzie was playing so seductive and it was HOT. Heh, it's kind of hard for me to NOT like this couple now. I loved the cannibal island + the last island scene. Hilarious and Elizabeth throwing a fit was adorable. I think a lot of reviewers didn't keep an open mind for this movie... When I read reviews I was deeply dissappointed too. But trust me, the movie just keeps progressing... it gets better and better!! I cannot even begin to describe the giddiness I felt at the end of it all. This sequel definitely surpasses the first. I think I'll see it again sometime, heh. They've already started filming the 3rd. Can't wait for it to come out next summer!!!!

Diehard POTC fan right here.
(I've seen it twice already.)
Hah. It was... amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I agree with all the scenes you guys have pointed out. Elizabeth screaming at the guys and having a fit. But, I think the part that I laughed the hardest at was when they got the twine cages swinging and the circus/waltz music started playing. I died laughing both times.

OH MY GOD. ME TOO. LMFAO
I loved when he was the kabob, too.
"Where's that dog with the keys?"
"Look *shoots* an undead monkey!"
"Kelai lam. Lam peeky peeky, Lam meensy weensy, Lam say say... Eunichi. snippy snippy!"
"You will always remember this as the time you almost........Captain Jack Sparrow."

Kinda sad, but just for a view from the opposing camp, I would have kept Stellan Skarsgard, Bill Nighy, and Naomie Harris and flushed the rest of it. Oh, and Kevin McNally, who played Gibbs. I would have kept him, too. The remainder-- dull Orlando, scary Kiera, phoning-it-in Johnny, and Mr. It-Would-Take-Me-Six-Hours-to-Direct-My-Way-Out-of-a-Phone-Booth Verbinski-- could have gone far, far away. What an overlong, unfocused mess. And loud? You want LOUD--?
The people who make these bloatbusters need to make two versions of their films: one that runs under two hours, for those of us who still remember what film editing is; and one for the fanboys and -girls who've got nothing but time to waste.
God, I am getting so sick of long-ass exhausting summer crap. It's a pirate movie, for crying out loud. It's not "Lawrence of Arabia"! Hire a damn editor, already!
I could've watched "The Black Pirate" AND "The Crimson Pirate" in the time it took to endure this thing. Not that Verbinski & co. didn't rip off "Black": Nice "sail slide," Orlando's double...!
Movies like this exist only to make "Cutthroat Island" look good-- and better-- and better-- and oh-so-CGI-lite....

"Kelai lam. Lam peeky peeky, Lam meensy weensy, Lam say say... Eunichi. snippy snippy!" Hahahahaha. That whole thing was hillarious. I bought the soundrack yesterday and I die laughing even listening to the waltz music because it's all serious and tribal like and then it cuts immediate to that. It is absolutely hillarious, even without the visual.

Plus, I picture this: www.cillianonline.com/other/jacksparrow_0046.mp3During the first time Elizabeth got into Jack's face when they keep going on and on about 'curiosity' and wanting to know 'what it tastes like'. I love how the violin plays like flirtatiously and sexily. Hah. It's awesome.

Though I still enjoyed it, it was very messy and there were too many uneccessary parts. I was kinda checking my watch along the movie too.. haha. The movie was just some good clean fun! Great action sequences... too many plotlines. I was still hugely entertained, though. You sure that was Orlando's double?? I watched the swords and stunts thing on youtube and he did mostly all his stunts--like in the swinging cage and the sail slide.

He talked about doing the sail slide in an interview. He did it himself.

I felt bad because this father brought his two young daughters to see it. They were like 7 years old or younger and they had to leave in the middle of it.
I'm seeing it for a third time on Tuesday. :]

Ya'll suck, I haven't seen it yet. I think I may wait a bit for the hype to calm down so I can get a good seat opposed to a sticky unsanitary floor. I WILL see it thought, trust me. For the first one, I waited till about the last 3-2 months it was in theaters, I saw it 13 times & had good seats each time. I'm hearing a lot of "It sucks", but I don't buy it. I think people were/are just expecting too much of it to actually enjoy it for what it is. But, I shall see for myself soon enough.
