^Sorry, Sophie, I saw the movie, and didn't find him attractive at all. Nor in any of his other movies I've seen. I know a lot of other people think he's sexy, he just doesn't do anything for me. There's just no one who's universally attractive! Pesky little things like personal preference seem to get in the way. For instance, with very few exceptions, I don't like blond men. Just don't find 'em very appealing. It's something about Ralph's facial structure, though, that just isn't aesthetically pleasing to me. Some exceptions to the blond rule are Alan Rickman, Trevor Eve, John Dye, Jake Weber. Others might look at that list and say, "WTF? Are you kidding?" or something similar. However, trying to keep this on topic, I still don't think Cillian has had any plastic surgery. From everything I've read and heard, I don't think he's vain enough to have plastic surgery.

i think cillian is a little vain cause he kicked a guy out of his band for being more "handsome." it was quite funny when i read that actuallyLOL

There's a big difference, though! He's also "vain" enough that when an interviewer offered to break his nose, so his looks wouldn't get in the way of his roles, he declined the offer. I could be wrong, but it seems to me fewer European actors have plastic surgery to try to retain their youthful looks. I think it's more common in Hollywood, where they seem to be absolutely obsessed with youth and beauty; you lose one, and it does seem to hurt some people's careers. But not necessarily the really good actors. Somehow I just can't see Cillian going the plastic-surgery route. I think he'd much rather be known as a good actor than a pin-up star. He's said before that he's an actor, and doesn't want to be a movie star, so I don't think he has as much to lose by aging naturally, as might someone whose career is based more on looks than talent. Those are more likely to be the ones who will go to great extremes to retain their looks. He'll just be offered roles that fit the age he's at, and hopefully the audience will be able to accept him as an excellent actor, rather than just being focused on his looks. Let's change this question around a bit: Would fans prefer to see Cillian age naturally, or will they lose interest and look for someone else who's younger and better-looking? I would certainly continue watching his movies, because I like him as an actor. There are plenty of men in their 40s, even 50s, who are still attractive. Yes, it helps that Cillian's very attractive, but I don't think he'll have any problem being offered roles if he lets himself age naturally. I don't think it's something he really needs to worry about right now, anyway. I doubt he's spent as much time thinking about it as we have discussing it.

With very, very few exceptions, I'm not particularly attracted to blond men. I'd rather see him age naturally, but not too quickly, b/c then I'll get age and I'm taking it slooooow! lol

^its funny cause i don't really like them either, its a turn off for meLOL personally if cillian started geting like really bad bags under his eyes or bad crows feet, i wouldn't care if he had surgery cause its minor, but im against anything extensive.

I'm sure Cillian would never go the plastic surgery route, he seems...above that maybe. He'd just let it all go natural without anything drastic like that. I'd prefer to see him do that even if he did go down hill fast, I like him too much for looks to matter to that degree. Above anything, he's a great actor and I wouldn't be so enthralled otherwise.

Even "minor" plastic surgery can go horribly wrong, especially around the eyes. I think it's unlikely Cillian will take that type of risk just to get "younger" roles. I admire actors who are willing to take non-glamorous roles, or even roles that make them look really bad, because they're often more interesting than the romantic lead or the handsome hero. Maybe it's because I've been around long enough to see a lot of my heroes age, but guys who were very sexy in their 20s and 30s are now quite a bit older, and it's a bit strange to see the changes some have gone through. Some are still quite attractive, though perhaps not as sexy as they used to be. Alan Rickman is an example of someone who's a fine actor, and has done a variety of roles, and hasn't had surgery to keep himself looking younger. A lot of women still find him sexy now. He's not getting the same type of roles he did when he was younger, but he's still getting some interesting roles. Dennis Quaid isn't as sexy (to me) as he used to be, but he's still a good actor, and is still handsome. He's just not 25, or 35, anymore! BTW, sexiest character, ever, that I can think of at the moment, was Dennis Quaid's Homicide Lieutenant Remy McSwain in The Big Easy. You want to see a romantic, sexy, conflicted guy, and a very hot love scene, check it out! He was 32 or 33 when it was filmed. Hm, I haven't seen it in a while. I'll have to watch it again soon. I have the DVD here somewhere... Very good movie, too, especially if you like crime dramas. I just watched it again, for about the 4th time. It's a very well-constructed story, set in New Orleans. The female lead is Ellen Barkin, and they have some very good chemistry together. However, I forgot to mention, it's rated R.

Hated Minority Report. Couldn't finish watching it. I've liked Tom Cruise's looks in other films, but not necessarily that one. I've never found Colin Farrell attractive, in anything I've seen him in. In fact, to me he's absolutely repulsive. But it's that difference-in-tastes thing again. Back on topic -- I still vote no on Cillian having surgery.
