I've spoken to the moderators over the past couple days and we all decided it would be great to recreate the main site. It seems like Cillian sites are quickly disappearing or consolidating. Luckily, I've obtained money to do a site and I'm going to give up my fansite and bring it over to a .com site. On this new site, it will be totally interactive and forum-based. The moderators (in addition to some members) will have access to post updates on the website news page for the whole Cillian world. If you're interested in posting updates on the new site, please PM me, titling the PM with something of relevance, and I will consider each and every PM. I'm looking for maybe 2 or 3 members to help out. The number could increase, though I'm not sure. So, in time, www.cillianonline.com will be the new main site of the forum. I designed the layout this past Friday and shared it with a few people to get their input. I heard good reviews so, I decided to go ahead with the layout. So, enjoy what you see so far.  Please leave your input, comments, questions, here. I'll try to respond to everyone. |

The graphic is very pretty. However, it is also very large at 444k and in png format. PNG is not really suited for web browsing, it's meant to retain details of an image for printing, and people browsing online can't see those anyway. I was able to reduce the size of the image to an 89k JPG without compromising visable quality. You can find it here static.flickr.com/37/80965356_30607022a6_o.jpgThanks for that. I tried saving the file in JPG and GIF format and all it did was distort the color format. I didn't have any choice but PNG, although I knew the file size was huge and it wasn't suitable for browsing, especially for those with dial-up internet access. |
