Just finished watching it a few hours ago, and quite surprisingly, I liked it. I didn't really expect to like it after hearing all the negative reviews from other fellow Cillian fans, and coming into it, I was expecting a cringe-worthy performance from Cillian and Lucy. It wasn't so bad really. It definitely was not the most ingenious movie I've ever seen, but it was incredibly amusing and funny. Definitely a typical romantic comedy, but I've seen worse ones (like Never Been Kissed, She's All That, yecch). It didn't really have much of a hefty story line, but what romantic comedy does really anyway? I was really surprised that Cillian and Lucy had really great chemistry together. (Well, I shouldn't be surprised about that since Cillian has had great spot-on chemistry with all of his female co-stars so far. That's our amazing Cillian, doing what he does best. ) The acting in the movie wasn't that terrible, and the screenplay wasn't that bad either. I really was expecting the worst for this movie, and I'm glad it didn't turn out that way (at least in my opinion). Initially, I was caught offguard by Cillian's American accent, but it was only because I've forgotten how it was to hear him in an American accent (it's been a while since I've watched Red Eye and Batman Begins where he has an American accent, heh). Really, really loved his accent as usual. The only thing I was really thrown off by was the love scene. It was hot, don't get me wrong, but it didn't really flow in with the movie all that well. All in all, I liked this movie. It was great entertainment, and I think Cillian does really well with comedy. He knew what he was doing in picking this role, and he didn't disappoint me. With the guidance of the right comedic director (like Judd Apatow - Knocked Up was genius!), I think Cillian would shine even more in his comedic roles.

I 've been hearing more and more bad reviews from fans. Maybe that's why it hasn't been released yet due to it's not that great and they can't find a distributor. It will probably go straight to dvd if it's ever released.

Krisluvkev, you should check out the link ashleyrose posted in another thread, its a link to the full movie. I actually really loved the movie a lot. It is not that bad, I am not actually sure why so many people dislike it. Give it a shot! I think its just a really cute, funny romantic flick and Cillian is so great at his character! I'll be disappointed for Cillian if it goes straight to dvd (although I guess it did show at some film festivals), if it does come to some theaters around me I would definitely go see it, more fun than watching it on your computer! Anyway, I hope you check it out and hopefully like it! Don't be swayed by the bad reviews until you decide for yourself

I have avoided adding to this thread because I hadn't seen the movie. But now that I have, I decided to add my two cents. I agree with rukia that is definately not the best movie I have ever see, but it wasn't bad. I didn't especially like Lucy's character, and the storyline was not oscar worhy, but it definately had its cute moments, and Cillian looked very attractive. (which is almost reason enough to go and see it ) If/when it comes out on DVD I will definately look into adding it into my collection.

I will too. And I heard that it is already out on DVD in Poland so hopefully, we won't have to wait too much longer for it!

So WTD is going straight to DVD release? Aw, that's too bad. I would have loved to see it get released in theaters. With the right marketing, I think it would've done okay in theaters. I think there's an audience out there that would've enjoyed WTD. Fans of romantic comedy wouldn't be disappointed with it, I'm sure. If it were released in theaters, audiences would see Cillian in a much different role from what they've seen in the past (creepy bad guy roles mostly). Cillian wasn't all that bad in WTD. To me, he was convincing as a nice, nerdy film geek. He totally lost himself in this role, like he does with all of his other roles.

Yeah, I agree with you rukia, I think the general audience would have found it cute, and they would get to see Cillian in a different light too.

That's the spirit! Cilliosity (not even surer what that one means, it just sorta came out) is an ingrediant that guarantees that it least a certain group of people *cought fangirls cough* will watch any film!

Well the screen caps and such I've seen so far, I really like him. Though to be quite honest, Lucy Liu doesn't do a darn thing for me, and in general I'm sort of not too excited about the women who have been starring opposite him--I mean I LOVED Rachel McAdams, for instance, but Kiera Knightley and LL just really don't inspire me at all whatsoever, personally. Though I am excited about Peac0ck since I do like the Ellen Page, and b/c we get to see C bust a move as a woman again, yay! So I really don't know if I am going to see this. But I do really appreciate everyone's honest reviews of the film.
