this was in my head last night ... and i just wrote it down
I didn’t know that he was there, sitting in his car, watching me as I slept.
I didn’t know that he was following my every move as I got up and ate my breakfast.
I didn’t know that he was there watching as I took a shower and then dressed for work.
I didn’t know that he followed me as I drove to the hotel.
I didn’t know that he sat there, in the lobby, quietly watching as I spoke to customers.
I didn’t know that he saw how tired I was and how much I longed to go home.
I didn’t know that he left a short while before I did.
I didn’t know that he was in my apartment, hiding in the shadows.
I didn’t know that he saw me slowly undress my self.
I didn’t know that he saw my eyes linger on my scar.
I didn’t know that he felt rage burn in his veins at the sight of it.
I didn’t know that he wished to kill the man who had done that to me.
I didn’t know that he wanted to take my pain away.
I didn’t know that he had a longing ache in his heart.
I didn’t know that he couldn’t wait to hold me in his arms.
I didn’t know that he watched as I slipped beneath the covers of my bed.
I didn’t know that he waited until I had fallen asleep to slowly move towards me.
I didn’t know that he was there until he sat down on the bed.
I didn’t know that he wanted to make me happy as I rolled over and smiled at him.
I didn’t know that he never was going to leave me again as he leaned down and kiss me.
I didn’t know that he was giving up his job to be with me as he slowly took my clothes off.
And
I didn’t know that he was in love with me as our bodies joined as one.
I Didn’t Know
