Cait and Anitnelav - thank you SO much for your praise! It's probably been longer than 15 years since my last drawing...  so hearing these positive words is especially wonderful! Oh, and apologies for the quality of the actual image - I found out that my decade-old scanner is officially dead, so I resorted to taking a picture of the drawing with my point-and-shoot camera. AWWWWWWWWW !!! BEAUTIFUL JACKSON !!!!!!!Now it's my turn to squee in big colored letters LOL. Because this is really beautiful! You have talent in drawing, that's for sure! The drawing looks light and soft. Like you just were breathing it on the paper. Which is something I admire 'cause I tend to scratch with the pencil on the paper til it's raw... XD The eyes... Oh yes. They are so perfect. I love how you did that little light in the pupil. And the lashes are to die for...  The lips appear a little too light to me so that I can't really tell if there are mistakes. But they do look good and very Cillian like. I also love how you drew the hair an the side of his head. And the head itself, the jawline and cheekbones etc, looks like Cillians too. To my personal pleasure you chose one beautiful image of Jackson! I have that as my desktop bg. Your creation "That Time of Year". Love it! The fact that you were not drawing for 15 years amazes me too ! Now you're "warmed up" I am really excited what pieces of beauty you will come up with later. If you say the next one will be even better then I can't wait to see it !! Will it be also Jackson ? Oh... maybe this answer is useless... XD

@ Cait No matter if it's only digital art.  The one who uses it has to have talent and a feeling for art. The PC is only another instrument, another tool. I always bow before people who can handle the PC and have such skills and knowledge with the art programs. For me it's a jungle. LOL Your artworks look beautiful and I'd love to see more of them. |

Thank you so much, Zombiekitten. That makes me feel much better about my fanart. Speaking of fanart, I've finished another one! It's yet another Jackson and Lisa one, yup, I am obsessed now. Oh, I know that obsession so well. And the result of it is again amazing and eye catching !! Don't worry, I like it ! You took those delicious photos from the Flaunt photoshoot... awwww... What a great choice. His cool and nonchalant (can I say this?) face in those photos is adorable. I absolutely love how your shading spaces (don't know how to describe that better XD) underline the bone structure of Cillians face. The way you colored in the different parts of shading make the face more edgy and somehow stylized which I love. And on his hands this effect is very beautiful too ! It's also a very arty and creative choice to combine the colored Lisa with the gray "Jackson". It's like Yin and Yang, cold and warm, "good and evil" ... And Lisas lips... beautiful !! |

I hope it's the right place to put this... First of all (as I know this can become a focus of critic), I would like to make clear that this "art" was made just for fun not to bother or critisize anyone. I love Cillian more than anything and I really appreciate his work! After all this warning I can explain my work! ;D It's a little bit weird, but what I've done is an attempt to transform our Cillian in a woman, it has taken me a considerable time but I must also say that Cillian is so cute that it was quite easy to make it! Anitnelav ! That's so sweet !! He really looks like a beautiful, sweet girl (I'm damn jealous !! Grrrr... LOL) And you took the perfect picture for this 'cause I always thought Cillian looks rather feminine in this photoshoot. (Sorry Cillian ! XD) Your manip indeed looks real and natural. Could be Cillians twin sister. Great job !! You even gave "her" make up and combined it well with the purple shirt. |

I have a question to you: In your vid "Jackson Rippner, Devil Incarnate" are three pics appearing which I haven't seen on jacksonrippner.net. One with mountains in the background (which I find very, very beautiful !! ), one where Jackson is in a bar/club with a woman to his right and one where he looks like Capa. May I ask you why they are not on the website ? I'm just curious 'cause they are really beautiful! Wow, good eye, Zombie!! You are correct - those three fan arts are not featured on jr.net, for various reasons. I will post them here and explain why for each: At Gunpoint - this one was one of the first manips I did, and it was more of an experiment than anything:  I used an image of Capa for this, but I felt that his facial expression was very Jacksonian. So I dressed him appropriately and put him in a dramatic situation, with the cops behind him (and God only knows what's in front of him, that's captured his attention) If I did this manip now, I would give him a haircut so that he's more obviously Jackson. Now, I have always thought Jack would be the type to maybe allow his hair grow out from time to time - something about Rippner always seems a little rock-n-roll to me - but when it came time to decide whether this fan art should be on the website, I ixnayed it. Figured the long hair would confuse people and they would say it wasn't Jackson. LOL. But I like this one, personally. Mojave Jack - The reason this one didn't make the cut for jr.net was that I just didn't think it was good enough. LOL. Lighting wasn't really right. Couldn't make it work!  Hot Date - Another one from the Vegas file. Again, this is one that I like personally, but I thought the quality wasn't up to par. It's made intentionally grainy, and has a muddy look compared to the other pics. But I like his expression here. He's out in a flashy, exciting place, has a beautiful woman next to him, and yet he looks disconnected and cranky. Love that.  |
