Hello Lyn ... I noticed you like Metallica, (Lars....I've always had a crush on him.....Lars /Cillian??!! ...) Anyways , check out Diamond Head, they were around in the early 80's and were a big influence on Metallica, I'm sure you would love them...in fact you have probably heard of them! I enjoyed your site by the way , beautiful.

Try Kazaa/napster/itunes/amazon for Diamond Head..'Am I Evil' is an epic classic! I have recently crossed over to the way of the ipod and itunes , it's amazing , still buying up the vinyl though, nothing beats that crackle! P.s The Franz song 'auf achse' has a german title as I believe that one of them used to live in munich or is german or something!!!!

I have recently crossed over to the way of the ipod and itunes , it's amazing , still buying up the vinyl though, nothing beats that crackle! GRACEEEEEEEEY!! Love my vinyl!!!! Bought an old single the other day (Icehouse, Mr Big) just for old time's sake, very big on them when they first came out, and they were my first proper live gig. LOL! By now, when friends want to get rid of old records (got a few crazy people around here who replace their records with cds) they always give me piles of them, heh - got a few I'm embarrased to own, but I could never throw them out. Just got an iPod too = slick little fella, very handy indeed, still trying to fill it! First thing to go on, as always in this fine & respectable house, was ;D David Bowie's "Station To Station" album. Cheers ~Ultra

the musical tastes here luckily don't suck. i'm usually blown away by the number of people i hear talking about the genius of all that pop-filler garbage, but not here, thank god. i myself like pretty eclectic bands, hard to define, i guess. i recently saw an act called vitaminsforyou at the Drake Hotel here, in Toronto. he was amazing, really beautiful, light-sounding synth stuff. also, Khonner, and i've never seen but i love a band called Coil. i do love David Bowie, rock on guys! and the Cure... Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Razed in Black - all amazing live shows. some of it's pretty obviously goth/industrial...others, not so easy to say. i would recommend Skinny Puppy for those interested in raw guts emotion, Razed in Black for sweet melodies balanced with a hard edge, and Coil for the atmosphere of madness. and Tori Amos. and Ohgr....there are probably too many to list here. but Cillian might run screaming if all he saw was the Puppy stuff...it can be pretty shocking. anyone else here like Frank Zappa? i grew up with him, i think it's awesome that Cillian's in a Frank-influenced band. and that's my long post.

not bad guys, i seem to be in the presence of people who have very interesting taste in music. gracey and ultravelvet, couldn't agree more about the vinyl. i was so happy when i read Cill's blender list, because Abbey Road hasn't come off my big player (i also have a little old school zenith portable puke green one, awww) in like, 6 months! partially cuz i'm lazy and i love "I Want You" so much. its my favorite Beatle's album too, most people like the white album best. i like songs that are either a minute and 10 seconds with 5 insane breakdowns or long crazy and beautiful ones. ok, i'm taking too long sooo..............i also love ISIS, Donovan, the Casket Lottery, the Dismemberment Plan, good hardcore/punk(too many to list), Pink Floyd, GYBE!, movie soundtracks,Violent Femmes, just too much. yeah, i probably like that too, ha
