ahaha. Yes, the spice girls. My favourite band. I took their CDs from Florida to Paris, I was one obsessed 5 year old.
anyone else go through this little liking/hating of the band? I know I'm not the only one!

I missed the Spice Girls craze by a year or two. I was into Nsync.

My friend had "Wannabe" on her Ipod and we were singing along to it the other day. Oh those were such good times! I miss the old days in Kindergarden... heh.
But I also loved N*Sync. I think I may still have my Lance Bass bobble head somewhere in my room.

I liked JC. I remember my little friend and I used to play Barbies and my doll would always 'marry' the JC Chasez doll. Those were the days when liking a guy ten years older than you was scandalous, so we were living on the edge at nine years old. It's kind of ironic now that I'm in love with an actor twice my age.....ha! Anyway, back to the Spice Girls: Wannabe is like, my favorite song by them....ever. They need to be resurrected. There should be a tribute band to them or something, lol.

lmao. The only girl bands that are what people would try to conpare to them would be like the pu**y Cat Dolls or something. I mean, they dont come close.
Also, I remember about a year or two ago, the spice girls were going to go on tour again if they were paid something like 4 million dollars, and I think that was without Gerry (Ginger). So yeah, there should be a tribute band lol, would cost less.

I was a *NSYNC girl all they way!!!!!!!!! Justin was always my fave...followed by JC. And, since Brian & Shandi are gone on DWTS, GO JOEY!! & Apolo. Though, I liked BSB as well(no where near as much though).
Ok, Spice Girls. My little sister & her friends were really into them...they each matched themselves to a Spice Girl(as many did) & I didn't really care for them. Then one of my little sisters friends had a b-day party at the Discovery Zone & I went(cause I've always gotten along reasonabley well with my sisters friends, & I'm just a cool big sister) & it was completely Spice Girls. Spice girls cake, all her gifts, the party back at her place etc. She even got the Spice World video which we all watched. So I got to hear more of their music...& eventually grew to like them. I actually still have their cassette...

^^ haha I remember cassettes! way back in the day those were so cool, I remember buying a 'macarena' cassette with only that song on it at walmart once... in 2nd grade 98 cents was a big deal :-P
Last year on a school trip we had a 15 hour drive and a lot of that was passed dancing in the bus to Spice Girls! haha that music never get old! And i've always been more of an *NSYNC girl myself, but i fostered a crush on Justin

Justin was hott then & now...though I have to say I miss his more youthful days(ha, I say that like he's an old geezer).
And I have quite a few cassettes. Spice Girls, Shania Twain, Nobodys Angel, Anastasia, &...both 2gether albums, & the NSYNC Christmas album. All on cassettes. Mostly because when they were all out we didn't have a cd player in our car, we had cd players at home though.
But nah, Spice Girls have a legacy in music man. People like them whether they admit it or not. I took a "History of Music" class my last semester my senior year, & we had to do these big music projects every few weeks from a band/artist/composer of a certain era/generation. We did the 90' & 2000's last...so many people(guys & girls) did Spice girls & everyone always sang along & knew all the words. Funny stuff.

Hmmm a few days ago when I had a small gathering with a few of my girlfriends...one of them suggested we put in an old Spice Girls CD. Ha, it was amazing at how easy it is to remember all the lyrics to them and stuff. We were dancing and singing along to it. Oh boy ... Spice Girls ... haha.
