The music video for Meds is scweet. And the fact that Brian is in his underwear for most of it certainly doesn't hurt. ;D
I think Meds is a very different album from their previous stuff. I love it, but I love all their albums.

I had never heard of them until I saw them play last August. I really like them though. And they are really entertaining live as well.
I only have one album, but I sure play the crap out of it.

They are so amazing live! The one time I saw them was one of my fav. shows. They played "Without You I'm Nothing" and my life was complete haha..

Placebo is one of my apsolute favourites, if I had to pick one album as their best it would be Sleeping With Ghost (and Without You I'm Nothing would be my second choice). Fav songs - Bitter End, Scared Of Girls, Post Blue, Haemoglobin, Every You Every Me...

Cool! There's a Placebo thread here. The first time I heard Placebo was when I saw their "36 Degrees" video on MTV. That was way back in the late '90s, I think. Wow, it's been over a decade! Anyway, I was immediately blown away by the song, and I've been a fan of theirs ever since. I've read a lot of comments on the net made by other Placebo fans saying that "Battle for the Sun" is their worst album ever, that they've "changed" or what-not, but I totally disagree. It's one of my favorite albums of all time, one that I actually LOVE listening to in its entirety. My favorite songs on the album are "Bright Lights," "Speak in Tongues" and "Ashtray Heart." If the guys decide to to take a new direction musically, I believe fans should respect it, because they are artists, first and foremost, and they are free to make the choices that they feel will improve their art. It is a big risk if the fans don't like their output, but artists aren't beholden to their audience; there is a stronger connection between them and their medium, and I believe the latter relationship is more personal and the artist's integrity and satisfaction relies heavily on that. I believe if the artists are true to themselves, though, that honesty will show in their art, and that is what's important. The appreciation of art/music is very subjective, and artists/musicians shouldn't worry about whether or not people will like their output. What matters is that they are getting their message across to the audience through their medium. Whew! I'm just saying this 'cause I never got to say my opinions on the matter in other threads slamming Placebo for their new album. I don't care what other fans say, I still love "Battle for the Sun" and Placebo. I still love Brian and his songwriting.
