stormy, thanks for posting this link. I found the article extremely interesting, there are some infos I just ignored and I loved all the insight from jordan and cil about BOP.
esp. it touched me this sentence: "What makes it very different is the fact that, normally, characters start off as A and they turn into Z by the end of the movie, while Kitten, although she changes and grows, she's kind of relentlessly herself throughout the movie," Murphy explained. "She's a different thing and people are affected by her and people change around her rather than the character changing drastically." I think that 's really interesting to know. it's the opposite in the book, kit is always him/herself, but the ones around her won't be affected by her.. hence the ending is quite different..
"I think acceptance is a big theme of the film," Murphy said. "And the need to be accepted and the need to be loved. The destination being to find her mom, it's the journey where all the interesting things happen. Ultimately, people change. She doesn't change, but people change around her and Liam Neeson's character does a complete turn-around and change of heart. " this passage is amazing either. there's more, but it's sort of spoilerish. so go and read the article yourselves, if ya want, but be aware of spoilers.
thanks stormy, I truly enjoy reading it.

very nice - thank you. Does Cill seem to be becoming a bit more outspoken or is it me?

No, I think he's becoming more outspoken! I think it's great, because I'd much rather see an in-depth insight like the ones in the article than just a brief response.

Yes I agree, I think he's really becoming more outspoken in interviews, but perhaps it also depends upon the interviewer and if they actually have some relevant questions. Note: not always asking about his personal life, but someone who is intrigued by his movie career and has the appropriate questions to get a response like this (IMO).

Heh, I was going to say something similar. I think it also helps if the writer has done some research ahead of time to find out what questions have already been asked a million times, and avoid those.

I'm glad they decided to make a happy ending for Kitten. I haven't yet read the book, but I know it's different. It would've probably dissappointed the audience seeing how his character is so optimistic and lovable!

That was something that even the cast and director highlighted at the end of the movie screening - that the book ends very differently (quite a few audience-members had read it) - and how the author was the one actually ready to rewrite the book in some parts.
They took a few threads in the book that were Kitten-focussed and highlighted them - and for a reason, decided to give the movie the end it has. It is a very sad film individual incidents considered - but you leave the movie smiling, laughing, feeling bright - because that's how Kitten is - and for that, I love Cillian's performance - his humanity - in this role. He makes the character his own and gives it sssooo much depth
