Help! What should I do?

Man, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I wanted to know, seeing as you guys can relate to my woes, what I should do.

It's been 3 weeks and I still haven't got my Breakfast on Pluto DVD. I bought it on Ebay. The seller has a good reputation, according to his ratings (only one negative). However, I've contacted him TWICE already, concerning whether he got my payment or not, and he hasn't emailed me back at all. Hell, the first time I contacted him, about his address, he didn't email me back until three days later, after I told him I needed his address to send my money order to him.

The guy lives in Tennesse and I live in Texas. It's not far. At most, it should only be a 14-day wait (one week for my payment to arrive at his place, and another week for him to send me my DVD). Heck, I just ordered Disco Pigs from a seller in CANADA. Guess what? That seller emailed me back, telling me he shipped my DVD already. Disco Pigs is scheduled to come in any day now. Even more extraordinary, I bought Disco Pig a week AFTER I won "Breakfast on Pluto." You would think I'd be recieving BOP before DP, right?

Guys, what should I do? I *really* want to see BOP. I only got a few days to myself because I'll be doing rigourous research all summer long. I was hoping to spend the rest of my vacation days watching BOP and Disco Pigs. Now, I'll be BOP-less this summer. SHould I already buy BOP from another seller? Or give this "good seller" another week to email me back? He hasn't contacted me at all during this transaction. It's important I know my payment got there, just so I know whether to send in another if it got lost in the mail or something. At least the other seller told me my payment arrived. In contrast, this so-called 'great-seller' with 99.9% positive feedback hasn't told me when/if my BOP will be arriving in my doorstep any time soon.

This is so frustrating.

I went through just about the same thing you are radius, except I was waiting for Disco Pigs. We got it off ebay too and we kept on emailing the company but they never emailed back but after like 3-4 weeks I finally got it. So I would give it a few more days, maybe even a week and try emailing the guy again. If nothing happens I'd tell ebay about it and try to get you're money back. But just wait a little bit first, that's what I had to do. Sorry you're having problems.

Well radius, I'm not sure what to tell you. I have never been a big fan of buying stuff off the net, I just don't trust it. But, there are not too many other options for finding many of Cillian's movies. I agree that the seller is looking more than a little sketchy at this point, and I guess that your decision to wiat has to be up to you. You can either cut your losses and just find another seller, or wait and see. Have lived in an area where the mailing system was constantly screwed up, and lettes/packages/whatever arrived far later and more sporadically that would be desirable, I understand how frustrating this mush be for you.
If it was me, I would set a dedline, like another 3-5 days (if you have that much time) to wait for the movie. If that time has passes, I would move onto another seller. I don't know if this advice is anywhere near helpful, but I wish you the best of luck with your expansion of your DVD collection, and the very full summer you have ahead.

Hi radius!

Sorry you've had to wait so long for BOP. It's deffinately worth the wait. I was remembering I heard of some unusual weather going on in the part of the country where your seller might be. Tornadoes ripping up whole towns-- so if it's coming over land if I was you I'd just wait. Could be that's why the seller hasn't contacted you as well. And money orders take a bit more time to process too.

I'm wondering if even three more weeks to wait would be better and then start screaming! There has been a mess going on down there lately weatherwise.

I get stuff from ebay a lot. some sellers are just really lazy. the last thing I got from ebay was a poster, and I waited a month for it. I would give him a few more days, and if you hear nothing, try notifying ebay. I don't think he's a scammer, since his feedback is high. sometimes it just takes people a while to get things moving.

Thanks for your replies guys. I've decided to cut my losses and go with another Ebay seller. I haven't heard anything from the other guy. It's now been 4 weeks. I'd totally be cool if he sent me an email telling me he needed some more time. Anything, really. But I haven't gotten any email from him.

I probably won't leave him negative feedback just yet. I'll give him a month. His ratings are high and I don't know if he's either (a) dead (b) going through tough weather conditions (c) the mail guys screwed up. So yeah, after a month, I'll drop a negative on him. If, by any chance, I finally get my BOP from him, well, at least I got a spare copy of it. ;D

Oh, it sucks all right. I still haven't recieved a reply back to him, nor my dvd. So yeah, I think it's a lost cause.

Anyway, I just sent in my money order for the new seller. The good news? He sold it for cheaper AND it's brand new. ;D (The other one was selling an old copy for a higher price).

Here's hoping I get my BOP.

I finally recieved my copy this past Saturday. This seller also sent me an email telling me he shipped it.

Weeeeee! BOP was AWESOME! It was sooo worth the wait. Thanks so much for your input guys. As for the other seller... er, maybe he really *did* drop outta the face of this planet since I *still* haven't heard squat from him. >_>
