Has anyone seen the show? I was so excited when they performed on the Tony Awards this year. The music in that show is so amazing...and what's even better is the costumes! Plus, they're coming to my city during their tour later this year! *squee* I must buy tickets! Wow this was such a random topic.  |

I would love to see it. I've only seen one show on Broadway (42nd Street when I went on a school trip to NYC when I was 14). But I love the Lion King, and I'd probably love it on Broadway.
Ooh, I just Googled it and apparently they're in D.C. until the end of August. Hmm, might have to try to get someone to go with me.

My mom and dad and siblings have all seen it...but I haven't. And I'm the one who loves theater. Go figure.
I have the soundtrack, though, and it's AMAZING! Even better than the movies' music.

I'm so excited for them to come to AZ this year.
I saw the show in NYC a year ago, and the very first thing I did when I got home was buy the soundtrack XDDD
That was the best part of that trip...but the trip was really great as well! Go Lion King! *dances*

I just saw it on the 18th...I loved it! I've seen a lot of plays, though I really don't like them, but this one was definitely the greatest. The opening with the Circle of Life gave me chills. The costumes and sets were incredible. I had a couple problems with it though: I couldn't stand the kid that played Simba, and they added a few songs that sounded really bad and didn't go with the mood of the story.

Yeah, a couple of the songs were just okay. I was so overwhelmed by the Circle of Life scene and *cough* I was crying by the end of the song *cough* because it was all so amazing. Long live The Lion King! |

i would not mind seeing this. The director of Across The Universe Julie Taymore does the lion king on broadway and with how amazing Across the Universe was i would not mind seeing her do this!!!!!
