Just wondering what roles you guys think would be good for Cillian to play in his future movies.

I would definitely love some more sci-fi roles, or thriller roles. What I wouldn't give for a gothic horror role !

I would love to see Cillian in an angsty, troubled father/husband role (similar to Sam Rockwell's role in Snow Angels), a goofy, light but smart romantic comedy role (like Bridget Jones' Diary), and a sexy, smutty, complex role in some erotica thriller (along the lines of Adrian Lyne's Fatal Attraction and Unfaithful). That would be soo hot! But right now, I just want his already made movies to be released already! I'm getting impatient, and my interest in him is dwindling a tiny bit because there's simply nothing new going on with him. Don't worry; once a Cillian fan always a Cillian fan.

Yeah, his movies take forever to be released, especially here in the US!

Even though I still don't see a need for this movie since the games it'll be based on already function like movies as is (ugh as the 90 minuet long cutscenes in Guns of the Patriots), it would be much better if they got Cillian to play either Raiden or Otacon in the Metal Gear Solid movie adaptation. On another note, I kinda want to see Cillian play some kind of cyborg character in a film with dystopian future/space opera setting.

Ooh... I like the way you think linkreeves. Coz I totally shipped Capsie in Sunshine.

linkreeves and nimue- I'm so glad to hear you both say that. I've been thinking of writing a one-shot fic for Capa/Cassie and I was unsure of the level of interest out there. This encourages me!

Although I'm not a Capa/Cassie shipper, I would definitely love to see Cillian and Rose Byrne in another movie together! She's gorgeous and talented, and I think they would have great chemistry as an on-screen couple.

I'd love to see Cillian as Clyde in a remake of Bonnie and Clyde. He doesn't look a thing like the real life Clyde, but neither did the actors in the 1967 movie. Matthew Goode would probably be a better choice if I was trying to match up in terms of looks and acting chops, but I'm a Cillian fan to the end. So who to be the Bonnie to Cillian's Clyde? (Didn't come out right, huh? ). I actually found Becki Newton (from Ugly Betty) to look scarily similar to the real life Bonnie. I think Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller would also make passable, albeit prettier, versions of Bonnie. They both got the acting chops to do so. Yeah, Cillian in a "Bonnie and Clyde-esqe" role would be great!

I really really want him to play "Joe" if the book "Puccini's Ghost" (a book by Morag Joss) is ever made into film. I feel like he'd do such a wonderful job of it.

I just got excited again when I read from Cillian's newest interview that he's currently reading through scripts in search of a new project. I know he has three unreleased movies ( Hippie, Peac*ck, and Perrier's Bounty) coming up, but I can't help but wonder what his next role will be. As much as I love period movies and indie movies, I hope he won't go for something along those lines for his next movie. I think he's done his fair share of those. I'd love for him to be in something more modern and more mainstream, so it'd make it easier for us fans to see him in theaters. A sexier role wouldn't hurt either. Sexy but dark. I think he plays darker roles well.
