I just saw the new trailer for the upcoming romantic comedy, He's Just Not That Into You, and it actually looks quite cute. Anyway, I would love to see Cillian as a part of an ensemble cast in a romantic comedy like He's Just Not That Into You and Love Actually. If the cast also includes Emily Blunt, Amy Adams, James McAvoy, Reese Witherspoon, Rose Byrne, Kate Winslet, Rachel McAdams, Jude Law, Drew Berrymore, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Kelly Macdonald, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jake Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale, and Casey Affleck, it would make one hell of an ensemble romantic comedy. My mind would probably blow up at the talent (and hotness) all together on-screen. One can always dream, right? Now... it's just a matter of whom to pair up with whom... I didn't even think about pairing people up when I came up with the list, so let's see what I come up with... Rachel + Cillian, Rose + Jake, James + Kelly, Drew + Hugh, Keira + Matthew, Casey + Amy, Jude + Reese, Christian + Maggie, Emily + Kate Feel free to add or subtract to the list! Any switching around, additions, and/or subtractions would be quite all right, of course. Triangles, quadrangles, whatever. Or come up with your own cast. Who do you think should be in an ensemble romantic comedy with Cillian?

I'd love to see Rachel/Cillian but I'm still waiting for that Eva Green pair-up with him so yeah... if it has to be a romantic comedy ensemble then so be it.

I would be very very very happy if Cillian never did another romantic comedy as long as he lives. I am yearning for this man to sink his teeth into much meatier roles. Last night I saw Heat on TV and was reminded of what an amazing movie it is.. and how well Cillian could do with a role like the professional criminal that Robert DeNiro portrayed. WOW. The layering of a character like that is right up Cillian's alley... it makes me drool to imagine him bringing his icy subtlety to something like that.

I'd love to see Rachel/Cillian but I'm still waiting for that Eva Green pair-up with him so yeah... if it has to be a romantic comedy ensemble then so be it. Cillian and Eva would be sizzling on-screen together! I can't really see Eva in a romantic comedy though; she's absolutely gorgeous that it's almost a bit too intense. She and Cillian will probably be better suited in a romantic drama or an erotic thriller. I would be very very very happy if Cillian never did another romantic comedy as long as he lives. I am yearning for this man to sink his teeth into much meatier roles. Aww, that's too bad to hear. I take it that you're probably not too big a fan of romantic comedies then? Of course, if Cillian is ever in a romantic comedy in the future, I would want it to be of higher caliber than WTD. Nothing too fluffy, and it has to have a good story, substance, and screenplay. A good screenplay is the key to a good romantic comedy. I think Cillian has potential for romantic comedies, and maybe being in a good one will make him more accessible as an actor. But most importantly, it will fulfill my guilty pleasure.

Maybe something like the upcoming "New York, I Love You."

Maybe something like the upcoming "New York, I Love You." I agree. If it's anything like Paris, Je T'aime, it can include just about any type of genre and not just romantic comedy. I think Eva Green and Cillian Murphy would actually work out quite well together in Paris, Je T'aime. Don't they both speak French? Sigh, I'd give almost anything to hear Cillian speak French... that would be too sexy for words.
