Think of this as a kind of game. Like the post title says, you can make up some kind of movie (original or adapted from anything like a book, comic or something) and choose your ideal cast. Example, I'll post my ideal cast for the upcoming movie adaptation of The Mighty Thor comics. I just love coming up with my own cast. It's fun, and Cillian always manages to be part of it. Heh, obsessed Cillian fan here.  Here goes. On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan It's one of my favorite books. There were rumors of director Pedro Almodóvar being interested in adapting it, but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon. Director: Sam Mendes or Joe Wright Edward Mayhew: Cillian Murphy  Florence Ponting: Rachel McAdams  Mr. Ponting: Brian Cox  Mrs. Ponting: Julie Christie  Mr. Mayhew: Bill Nighy  Mrs. Mayhew: Helen Mirren  The Collector (1965) Based on one of my favorite novels by John Fowles. I haven't seen the movie adaptation, but if it ever gets remade, I think Cillian would be perfect as Frederick and Rachel McAdams as Miranda. It'll be a dream come true for Jackson/Lisa fanfiction fans.  Frederick: Cillian Murphy  Miranda: Rachel McAdams  Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk Supposedly, a movie adaptation is planned with rumors of Jessica Biel as the lead character, Shannon. I don't know if it's ever going to happen, but there's a director attached (Jesse Peyronel), and it looks like the cast is still up for grabs. It's going to be quite difficult to translate it on-screen without giving away the plot twists, so I'd think it'd be better in the hands of a more experienced director. It's been hard for me to come up with my own cast because of the plot twists and all. People over on the IMDB boards have been saying that Cillian will be great as Brandy, the transsexual, but I actually think he'll be great as Manus. It's a pretty trashy, despicable character, so I don't know if Cillian will actually go for it. Director: Christopher Nolan or David Fincher Shannon: ? Evie: ? Brandy: ?
