Thanks, Haley! I think I noticed this new trailer posted over at IMDB for a couple of days or so, but I didn't bother to check it out until now because I thought it was the same UK trailer as before. It reveals a bit more of the story without saying too much, but it's still compelling. I wish there could've been more dialogue in this trailer though, and the tagline, "The only thing more dangerous than war is love," is a tad bit cheesy, but it is sure a whole lot better than saying, "This year's Atonement, only better." (Because it is NOT.) I like this new trailer (MORE Cillian goodness in it!! ), and I hope it'll catch the interest of a lot of moviegoers. I do like the UK trailer a bit better (minus the Atonement comparison), but I guess since it didn't work too well with the UK moviegoers, they decided not to use it for the USA. There's also some new, never before seen stills over at IMDB page for The Edge of Love if anybody's interested. Here are two that we've never seen before of Cillian: Cillian 1 and Cillian 2. He's so incredibly handsome in this movie! I'd recommend any Cillian fan to go see it . It's not going to win any Oscars or anything, but I liked it a bit more than I expected. Cillian's performance was great as usual.

rukia888- that second pic of Cillian is very gorgeous... the bomber jacket is so hot on him... And yes it is fabulous that this is actually hitting the US- I have the feeling it will be limited release like Sunshine was, so I hope I can find a screening somewhere near me. I had to leave town to see Sunshine, so I might be forced to do the same for this film.

Woah has that film not been releases in the States yet?! I was thinking this was a thread for it's DVD release! The film overall is great but Cillian steals the show in all his scenes. He's just so powerful.

Just another update on The Edge of Love. Sienna Miller was on Jay Leno's The Tonight Show last night promoting The Edge of Love. So it's definitely getting coming out next Friday (only in limited release in NY and LA though). I don't know if it's going to get that wide of a release later. I'm doubtful that it will last longer than 2 weeks if it gets wide release. I don't know if using Sienna Miller as the main promoter of the movie is the best way to go. She has a bad rep, but I guess that can go either way. It could either make people more curious and go see the movie or completely avoid it. I guess they decided to use Sienna to promote because out of the cast, she's been in the public eye more. I think they should've went with Keira because she's pretty much a household name now. Sigh, I highly doubt that Cillian will be flying over to the US to promote. As much as I'd love to see him on a late show like Jay Leno or Craig Ferguson, he probably won't do it any time in the near future plus he'd probably be a bit awkward. The new's not directly Cillian related, but at the least it's Cillian movie related, so I guess that's close enough.

rukia-- Cillian has stated that he doesn't do live interviews, ever. So we won't see him on late night doing the rounds or on talk shows or anything like that.

I have often wondered why he won't do live interviews. I guess the rumor is that he's uncomfortable with it, and I never know if that translates into shyness or what. Because though I can certainly understand not wanting to be in front of a crowd of people and risk saying something wrong, I'm also not a performer. Cillian IS. He's done plenty of plays, so this should not make him shake in his shoes like it would me. LOL. So that leaves us to asume he simply disdains the entire concept of an interview or promoting his own work. Although at this point in his career, it would be something that would be a huge benefit for him to do.

Gogo, yes, I've known that about Cillian. That's why I said that I don't think he'll be on those type of shows any time soon. Just wishful thinking. I agree with you, Pisces; I don't think it'll hurt to go on those shows. I know that he doesn't like to talk too much about his personal life, but I don't think he's going to be forced to talk about it on those shows. I know that James McAvoy doesn't like talking about his personal life, but he's been on Craig Ferguson a couple of times, and he doesn't give much away. He just talks about random subjects that are safe but amusing. I think it'd be a good way for Cillian to promote his movies and put himself out there. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if he ever changes his mind about being on them.

rukia- I agree completely. No one is going to force Cillian to talk about anything he doesn't want to. Maybe it's how he's viewing interviews that needs to be altered.... if he could see them as performances, maybe he would be more open to the idea of participating in one or two. Of course, if the issue is that he sees himself as too elite an artist to be bothered, then nothing will change that. LOL.

The Edge of Love was reviewed by Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz over At the Movies. You can go over there and click on the The Edge of Love to watch the clip of their review. It might be a bit spoilerish. Yeah, it was as I had expected -- a mixed review -- one critic liked it, and the other one didn't like it. I'm glad the movie caught their attention for them to review it though. I guess that's a good sign. I didn't really think anybody would pay attention to its release here in the US.

Don't mean to double post. Just wanted to say the The Edge of Love will be available on DVD in the US on July 14! It's available for preorder over at Amazon. I liked it and all, but I don't know if it's worth buying. It's definitely more of a rental, but if you're a die-hard Cillian fan then I guess you'll be buying no matter what.
