Last night the press embargo was lifted and the first reviews hit the internet:

Most of them pretty amazing!
(the worst I've read so far gave it a 7/10)

Cool- it's great to Cillian being singled out and praised for his portrayal, makes me even more excited for it and also makes me think his role is going to be bigger than i expected. God i can't wait! ;D

EDIT: Just re-read that quote from Hollywood reporter and am now wondering why they felt the need to say "Especially surprising is Murphy"? Why is it 'surprising'? He's an amazing actor, always has been. They make it sound like it's the first good role he's done or something! Sorry, i'm getting picky aren't I? Probably just reading too much into it.

I thought that to be strange too actually... but then maybe this reviewer only knows Cillian from the Batman or Red eye movie.... whatever the reason at least we know what he is capable of so we probably won't be as surprised as the reviewer when we see Inception ;D !

I just realised that Inception is being released on the same day that our huge Summer Sale starts in work. That means i'm most likely not going to get to see it on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Maybe even Monday too. Who knows when i'll have enough free time and be able to organise someone to go with.

God i hate the summer sale enough already, but this makes it twice as torturous.

I've been skimming reviews (trying to get a sense of what the viewer thought without tripping over any spoilers; this is tricky work) and so far it seems that Inception is VERY highly regarded. It hit me the other day that this is the biggest movie Cillian has ever done, so I hope he's got some decent screen time.

My target date for seeing it will be July 19. Not going to be easy to wait through that first weekend, when everyone I know will be seeing it...!
