I thought I'd make a thread on this, as was just wondering if - out of curiosity - if anyone here had ever done this and if so whether they might happen to know where to find the correct agency address to write to - as I am thinking of sending just a short fan letter at some stage? I'm normally not in the habit of going out of my way to contact celebrities. Never done it before in my life as a matter of fact, as it's not the sort of idea that typically interests me. But when it comes to Cillian - I'm feeling that I'd like to make an exception. Even though I'm already aware that it's highly possible I won't get any kind of response, I'd still like to try anyway - as would like him to know how highly I admire his talent and the work that he's done.
Many thanks in advance for reading.

Actually everyone, forget that I asked the question. Is ok, I managed to find the information I was looking for in the end. Although for the benefit of anyone else here who would like to write to him I will include the link to where I found some addresses below: www.cilliansite.com/site/faq#do-you-knowThere are 3 different addresses there, including an Ireland, London and US one.

Man, I would love to write to him but I don't think I could put my feelings into words verbal or written. Maybe I'll stew on it a bit.... For those who have the courage I hope you get a response!

Maybe you'd find it helpful to put together a rough draft first, and then build upon it from there until you're happy with it. :-) That's what I decided to do, especially seeing as I've never written to a celebrity before of any kind - this is my first time. Even if the words don't come out quite how you'd like the first time, or even the second/third time etc, they can always be changed/edited - until you feel that you've properly captured the essence of what it was you wanted to get down on paper. I also personally found it helped to check out some online examples of this type of letter writing - just to get an idea of where to begin - if that helps at all.
Many thanks for that! I'm going to try not to get my hopes up too much. But it'd sure be fantastic if that were to ever happen. :-)

It's almost worth the embarrassment just knowing you have a slim chance he will actually respond to you! lol You are right I should at least try and if I feel it's not good enough I don't have to send it. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks for the encouragement. No problem at all. I think that so long as the letter is written in a thoughtful, sincere and interesting way then at the least it's reasonably likely that he will appreciate it - even if he never answers it. And certainly you would be increasing your chances of hearing from him much more than if you never wrote. At least you would know you tried. Wishing you the best of luck with your letter also!

So, it's been a year since the last post to this thread. Did anyone actually send anything? Did you get a response?

Yup, I sent mine, also using the London agency. Not long after I made that last post in here all that time ago. Never heard a thing back disappointingly. Ah well. Probably not personal. Actors don't always have time to read their fan mail. He might not even have got it in the first place. It's a shame. But guess much worse things in life happen. Wish you guys the best of luck with getting a response. Let the rest of us know if you do!
