That i joined a Cillian Murphy fan site, he would be very peeved with me. lol! As it is he thinks I'm crazy over him and this would only solidify his accusations. So here I am introducing myself to all of you, and to say I'm glad there are others like me with a crush on one of the most beautiful men in the world. But Shhhhhh. Welcome, veroni!! We're very glad to have you!! While it's a shame that your boyfriend isn't more accepting of your attraction to Cillian, at least you know that there is a place for you to come where this affliction is understood and welcomed. How long have you been interested in Cillian and his movies? What's your favorite of his roles? I happen to agree that he is the most beautiful man in the world. Truly. I think of him as the Vivien Leigh of men; I have always thought of Leigh as the most perfect, beautiful woman who lived, and the reason I made this conclusion for myself was this simple fact: any woman, no matter how winsome, when placed beside Vivien Leigh, suddenly appears bland and uninteresting. It works every single time, like a scientific formula. LOL. Cillian does the same, in my mind, as a man. There are many gorgeous men out there, to be sure, but put them to the litmus test of a facial side-by-side comparison with Cillian... and watch them fizzle into drab, run-of-the-mill handsomeness. Simply put, his ethereal looks can make anyone look bad, no matter who they are. At least, that's my opinion. Welcome to the forum!

Hello and welcome Veroni! I dig the "Neil in enemy chain store territory" signature gif that you have goin' on. As far as boyfriends go, they had better get used to it, because with Cill the longing only gets worse.

Thanks Guys! I loved Cillian since I first saw him in 28 Days Later. I totally agree with you about the Vivian Leigh thing too. She is Epic. I love her so much both as an actress and for her timeless beauty. Cillian has that same affect on me. I love him as an actor and I think he can pull off the good guy and the bad guy. I don't type cast him as a bad guy like alot of people do. I loved him so much in On the Edge. He was sweet and charming. I was captivated by his presence and his portrayal of a conflicted man. I think that he plays any part to the best that it can be played. I just wish he was cast in more films so that people would see what I see in him. I would have to say that so far, my favorite movie with Cillian is Peac*ck. He was amazing in it! He got me to see both of his characters as separate people. I felt for both of his personalities. Cillian, to me, is sooooo underrated. He is brilliant and handsome. I'm a fan for life. He isn't one of those actors that you look at and say "Oooooh he is cute." Cillian is beautiful, but his beauty is all around. Anyway, thanks for the warm welcomes and I look forward to talking to you and meeting more of Cillian's Fans. ;D

Welcome to the forums Veroni! Great to see another Cillian infected new member joining! Hope that you enjoy your stay - and totally agree with you on Cillian being under rated. When first finding out about him, I was pretty shocked to find there's nowhere near as much news about him on a regular basis as I would have expected. Unfortunately I think, in big part, that's because Cillian's ambitions don't stretch as far as those of alot of other actors.' He's never been interested in going down the Hollywood star road - though could so easily achieve that if he wanted to. In some ways I do think it's a big shame, as would personally love to see alot more of him on the screen than has been possible so far, though from a fan point of view can also understand the likely reasons for that. Still, he's certainly achieved some amazing work so far, and looking right now like we can definitely expect many more great things from him in the future! Also, totally agreeing with you on the looks department! He's so out of this world beautiful, supremely talented and also in real life - I get the impression - a genuinely nice, intellligent, down to earth and modest guy! Definitely one of my best loved actors too! ;D

Hey Veroni. Nice to see another new face joining. Make yourself at home here and enjoy your stay-and may it be a mighty long one too! We're all very friendly here. I have to agree that Peac*ck is one of Cillian's best performances so far but, for me, the ending let it down. Also loved him as Jonathan in On the Edge. He was so cheeky and sarcastic , yet lovable. I found that story very touching. For me though my favourite Cillian movies are(based not only on his portrayal in it, but the movie overall): 28 Days Later, Breakfast on Pluto, Disco Pigs and The Wind that Shakes the Barley(probably just because i'm Irish and it really hits home every time i watch it).

Hi Ashleyrose!
Hi Emma!
Hi there razzthekid and thanks for the welcome.
I do plan on being here for a long time. I'm not one of those fleeting fans that only loves an actor as long as he is "cool." No, Not me!
I watched Peac*ck again last night with some friends that didn't want to give it a chance because they thought that it was just a drag queen movie. (I have very stupid friends by the way. haha) Anyway, I disagree with you about the end. I thought it was great. The thing is though, everyone has come to their own interpretation of the end of the movie. What I took from it was that during the photograph scene when Emma was taking Jake's picture, John's side of the personality came back. When he sent Maggie away with the money, that was John in his own way, releasing Jake from the abuse he had to go through. Then after Maggie left, as John sat in the chair, he had to face the fact that he was stuck as the Emma persona. Being that John was dreadfully detached to people, and had no social skills, he would be unable to move away and start over. The only other alternative was to be Emma on the outside, around people, and be John by himself. He also had to deal with the fact that Emma took on a life of her own. I believe that he created her to nurture and care for him like a mother would but that was all over now. Emma wanted to be the dominant personality and she would always battle John for her reign. I liked the end because once again John was left trapped and lonely and him sitting slumped in his chair was the most tragic part of the whole movie.
Sorry for the rant.......just wanted to explain how I interpreted the film's ending. I could be horribly wrong though. hahahaha
