Dont know if this is true but i've been reading on a bunch of blogs that Cillian will be in a movie called "The Retreat". Looks like filming begins around Sept. in Wales. co-star Thandie Newton

Thanks for the update!  I know a lot of sites have been reporting this, but I don't know how true this is either. I hope another reliable source comes along like Variety or something. Most likely, we'll have to wait until September to see if any onset pictures pop up. Anyway, this project sounds pretty interesting. I'm not too thrilled about the storyline for some reason -- it sounds kinda like 28 Days Later minus the infected. *shrugs* I LOVE the cast though! ;D I think Thandie's an amazing actress and so gorgeous! David Tennant's cool, too. Too bad Cillian's replacing Jason Issacs... that would awesome if Cillian and Jason worked together. |

And when I read this I remembered the interview with Jason Isaacs on the Mayo and Kermode radio show where he said something like he hopes he and Cillian will be doing something together in the near future. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be this project  ... But to have David and Cillian in one movie will be fantastic though!!! |

I noticed someone posted the deadline article on Facebook this morning, really liking the sound of this one so far - though admittedly it does sound sort of similar to 28 days lol! Much Looking foward to seeing further updates once they become available!

Really like the sound of this. From that description it does come across as if it could be quite similar to 28 Days, but then again it may turn out to be comlpetely different. I'm excited about it anyway, whether it's like it or not.

Don't get me wrong, Kim -- I'm excited about this project! Any new Cillian project makes me happy! The Retreat is now listed on Cillian's IMDB (not that it makes it official really), but Jason Issacs is still listed, too. |

No no i wasn't directing that at anyone in particular Rukia. Just i do think it sounds like it could be similar too but it doesn't bnother me really, 28 Days was brilliant!
I just thought: if he's shooting this in the autumn then what about At-Swim Two-Birds? I thought filming for that was meant to commence around autumn time too. I hope it's definitely going ahead. I love the book.

The Retreat is now listed on Cillian's IMDB (not that it makes it official really), but Jason Issacs is still listed, too. I noticed that too! I wondered for a moment if maybe it meant Jason was offered a different part to his original one - but then going by what's already been said earlier in this thread I'm gathering that's not likely. Shame, as I'd have loved to see that pair work together too.  I think they'd make a great team! |
