I'm not seeing the deleted material on either of my U.S. Region 1 discs or on my Region 2 disc, which would have been the one sold in England and Ireland. Maybe the extra footage was on the Region 3, 4, or 5 discs-- but, as alejandrali pointed out, in the commentary Wes Craven mentions that the film weighs in at eighty-five minutes (including that long, long credit scroll at the end), which meant it wouldn't make the length requirements for broadcast purposes. (According to Craven, the U.S. network cutoff for filling a two-hour time slot is ninety minutes of film.) So... maybe my descriptions of the deleted stuff were so compellingly written that it seems like that stuff was on the DVD.... (.... and-- yeah, yeah, yeah, I know-- if my ego were any bigger, it would have its own ZIP code....  ) |

Same here! Many thanks Punctuator! Very interesting to read about what was included in the different version. Sounds like it's well worth checking out! Have to admit - even though I realise the movie probably didn't need it - as I was reading through I was really hoping they'd chosen to extend the Lisa and Jackson bathroom scene. Still guess it was just never meant to be.  Ah well! ;D |

Maybe I'm just crazy but I know I've seen some deleted scenes somewhere but maybe it wasn't on the DVD but I could have sworn it was!  Oh well. |

I remember there was a gag reel included in the special features on my dvd - showing parts where the actors came out with lines they weren't supposed to lol! Pretty sure there weren't any other deleted scene's in there though. Though then again, maybe there's an alternative edition of this dvd out I'm not thinking of. Unless maybe there's something like that on You Tube or a site like it..I'll have to look further into that myself sometime!  |

Sorry guys, I didnt know where to post this. I quess I could of gone back to find a plain old red eye thread, but what I have to say is nothing much . Just kind of funny
I was recently at the thrift store looking through some used books and when I was about to walk away I seen "Self Matters" by Dr.Phil (book in Red Eye) was right at my eye level couple inches from my face. I was thinking "what is that all about?" So I felt it was a sign, and thought I should buy it. Hell, it was only 50cents, why not! Havent read it yet, but I just found that kind of strange and funny.

Hey
I'm new here, acutally I registered because of this whole "Red Eye on Saturday" thing.
And I just wanted to ask Punctuator if you will upload the deleted scenes somewhere? Or at least if you plan to do so.
Because I don't have ABC, simply because I don't live in the USA or UK, so there's no way to watch the extended version. And btw I have the region 3 disc and the region 2 disc (Because I was looking for deleted scenes! xD) and there aren't any other extras than the Gag Reel, Wes Craven: A new kind of a thriller and the making off.
So I would LOVE YOU if anyone could upload the scenese. Somewhere! I don't care.
I just want them, because I'm such a Red Eye Freeeeaaak!

I'm sorta-kinda-half-working on extracting the extended scenes from the DVD that my niece was kind enough to burn off of her TiVo ("sorta-kinda-half" being codespeak for "I am a video idiot, so this could take some time."). Two things: One: A warning up front: The copy I have is literally crawling with scrolling weather alerts. (Oh, look: A CLOUD! Let us WARN PEOPLE ABOUT IT. AND WARN PEOPLE ABOUT IT. AND WARN PEOPLE ABOUT IT. AND-- You get the general idea.) And two: The ill-advised follow-up to Inception: Dream Girl is *this* *close* to launching (or exploding on the pad), so the great video experiment might have to wait a few more days....
Oh, and because I am a pathological nitpicker and simply can't stop myself: CONTINUITY: In the deleted scene where Jackson is gurneyed out of the house, the hole in his throat appears to be missing. Hello: makeup-- or a strategically placed Band-Aid-- for Mr. Murphy...!

That are great news! HUGE THANKS for all this, your text about the deleted scenes was great already and I'd LOVE to see the scenes, because I'm a real maniac and... you know?! Ha! Can't believe the hole's missing. I've got a few photos from the deleted scenes thanks to pisces and already saw that they'd forgot it. But maybe I just couldn't see it at the photos. Hmm. Well, take your time, I'm really really thankful and I don't care if there are weather alerts or anything else. I JUST WANT IT SOO BADLY!! okay, I think you all got it |
