Cillian Spoiling Other Men??

Boy, can I ever identify. LOL. Before I discovered him, I typically had a new film 'crush' every few months or so (yes, even at my age - it's an intensely juvenile affliction that I enjoy and stubbornly refuse to relinquish), but post-Cillian, I just don't seem able to fully 'get into' other men. My eyes still work, of course, meaning I can see that there are other attractive males out there, but frankly, they always dim in his shadow. Every single time. No matter how handsome or talented, they can't hold a candle to him. I just don't bother fighting it anymore. LOL. ;D

Same here, Pisces. ;D No other male actor has ever won me over like Cillian did. I do find other male actors 'hot', yes, but that's just it. I just find them 'hot', and nothing else. They usually aren't that high in their acting ability, and then I just lose interest fast. Cillian has a little bit of everything - good I mean, amazing, looks, incredible and versatile acting ability, personality, etc. He's perfect.

As much as i love Cillian and think ihis looks are completely unique and stunning, i still appreciate other actors.

There are very few who can contend with the full package of his acting talent, personality and looks but there are 2, in my opinion, who are on a par with him. They are:

~Ben Whishaw
~Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Then i also love Johnny Depp, Casey Affleck, Benicio Del Toro, Emile Hirsch, Kieran Culkin, Michael Pitt.....

Glad you guys all have this same addiction! I don't know what it is about him! I have certainly seen prettier eyes, better bone structure...however I can't say that I have seen better acting or a better celebrity presence. Maybe that's a clue 'eh?
As for other men, I actually think I see more attractiveness in them now. I AM more attracted to my dear, sweet, patient (although not too happy with me at the moment) husband. I wish he would understand that this is not a lust issue. To me, its more like watching a beautiful sunrise.

I like other actors, too, Kim. I LOVE Joseph Gordon-Levitt, too! Also I adore Ed Norton. ;D Both are very versatile and talented.

There are others that have been just 'passing' crushes (i.e. I just like them because I thought they were hot) like Henry Cavill and Sam Worthington. Those I've lost interest in quickly. LOL.

That's a very interesting question. I think Cillian is a beautiful man, so handsome I don't consider him as human sometimes. Everything is so unearthy and mysterious in his face, his eyes, this is so impressive I could believe it if he was from a different planet ^^. But my fascination isn't a question of desire: I have a lot of respect for the amazing actor and human being he is, so, I don't want to see him as another pretty face to dream of.
But, my relationship (if I could say so...) with the characters he plays is an entire different thing. I allow myself to be the worst fangirl ever with Jackson, Crane, Fisher and so on because they are fictional. So, I won't feel guilty

For me, yes there are plenty of other attractive male celebs, but you get so much of the same common features. NO ONE looks like Cillian. No one. When men have a unique look about them like Cillian does, that's when I pay attention, and as soon as I saw Cillian in 28 Days Later, I became a puddle in the floor. I have never seen such intense expressive eyes on a man. They just lure you right in. A lot of my friends don't think Cillian is good looking because he's too 'different' looking. That just makes him sexier to me. But of course Cillian is so much more complex than that. He's a phenomenal actor, and extremely intelligent, yet he shows such humility. My respect for him is endless.

I agree Cait, no one looks like Cillian. Though sometimes I can find very small similarities(Peter Greene, Emily Blunt). I already posted this on look alikes thread but the closest person to ever looking like Cillian isnt even real ...its Andy from Toy Story 3. hahaha

Uh? I don't really see the ressemblance, mabye because as you just said, Andy isn't real. I'm sure you can find some guys with some of Cillian's features, but it just won't be the same. For instance: my mother swore me she knew a man who looks just like him. When I asked her to show me a picture, she told me this man is now older than she is. "Oh, well... nevermind, then "

Thank you, Cait!! LOL! You've just put into words what I had never been able to!! ;D You are absoutely right that most other male celebs have very familiar features. As an example, Joseph Gordon Levitt looks VERY much like Heath Ledger. When I see men like that, I enjoy them, but it always feels like I've seen them before somewhere else. Cillian, however, has a more unique face, in my opinion. I have always preferred more unusual looking men, so he's at the top of my list, and very likely to stay there.
