Oh my goodness! Why is all of this terrible stuff happening to my girls? *big hugs to all of you*I'm feeling really anxious because I just found out that my grampa has a hernia and has to have surgery. He's very frail, and I'm so worried about him. I'm so scared that he won't pull through.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Cait. I know it's scary to know a relative is going under anesthesia - but odds are he will be fine. (HUGS) Bunnie, the same exact thing happened to me last spring: I had chest pains and honestly thought I might have been having a heart attack. It was scary, and especially scary how the ER staff started fussing all over me. I spent the night in the hospital and they ran a lot of tests (which took me the better part of a year to pay off). Since they couldn't find anything life-threatening, they let me go home. But I still was having the pain, and the doctor said the same thing - that it was musculoskeletal in nature. Costochodritis. But what it actually turned out to be - several doctor visits and weeks later - was that I'd had a lingering upper respiratory infection, which had caused the tissues between my heart and lungs to become swollen and irritated. The friction of the tissues was causing the pain. A short course of antibiotics later and I was fine. If you continue to have this pain, you might ask for a Z-pack.

And on top of my E.R visit, my surgery is on Monday for my upkeep on my retinal detachment---I just hope I don't have to do the entire surgery again...I don't want to lay down on the couch, counting threads for five days...
and now that I"m officially done with school that's all I think about...*hold me*?

Oh Cait, I share your worries. My mother had a hernia surgery two times in her live. I was scared too. But today's medicine is so good and improved, that you don't have to worry. Of course, worries are nasty little bugs, clinging to ones feelings, no matter what anyone says. But there are so many older people having to make a surgery, so that the docters have a lot routine with them. *HUG*

@ Bunnie: About your unhappy "almost-date"... I'm so sad about that ! That's not fair. I was so happy for you and excited to hear your "report" after it. Speaking for me, I would at least ask the guy personally why he didn't greeted/looked at you. I really don't want to talk about something I haven't witnessed myself, and its beyond me to give advices about relationships and dates, for I had only ONE in my whole life LOL But if I was you I would talk to the guy and really ask him why he did that. Please don't let this incident affect your motivation for future dates. It was just one crappy guy acting strange, for wathever reason. In my opinion, there are still some nice fish in the ocean. Maybe they are all hiding in the deep sea, who knows. So it takes maybe some fishing until you one day catch a nice one.

Thank you for all the kind comments and support, ladies! I've always been a worry-wart. Bunnie - hoping everything goes well for you on Monday! *hugs* Also, sorry to hear about your date not working out - similar things have happened to me more times than I care to admit. I'm with you on the Irish husband, I have the same dream, LOL. Yeah, Irish fishes are very delicious ! LOL LMAO!!!!!!!!! I've never tried an "Irish fish", but they certainly do look delicious most of the time. Yeah, Shamrocks, I guess it doesn't really matter where a person comes from, there's always going to be ones who disappoint. I've personally had enough of Canadian men. Englishmen aren't much better - well, mine wasn't, but I'll spare you all the details!

I'm not happy because I can see that whatever is wrong with my stomach is luring me into another eating disorder... I've learned that sometimes throwing up when I have my attacks seem to help... and then knowing it means I lose weight too... it's way too tempting when I need to loose so much weight

LMAO Cait! Well, I fell for a Canadian man too and he turned out to be the biggest fanny teaser schlep head on the planet. I wasted a whole year on it. God knows why if I could kick my own arse I would. Never again! LOL

I don't know, I think I have always been set on a man with an Irish accent, that's just how I want to spend the rest of my life, with a man from Ireland. I might just move to Ireland for awhile until I find the right fish

Yeah... sadly there are stinky fishes and nasty sharks all over to world LOL No matter in which waters you will fish for them. @ Bloody Rose: Please don't let yourself be tempted to solve any problems with the strategy of throwing up... I can understand that it is tempting. And sure it is hard to listen to advices from people not involved and not remotetly capable to fully understand such a situation. But I really really beg you from the bottom of my heart to refrain from doing that, Rose! Please! That's really bad for your health and it is no solution.
