I thought I would throw this back out there and see what todays fans want to see him partake in.
He has grown so much with each role, I am certain our visions have changed.

Hmmm, I like when he plays this weird guy but cute and funny at the same time. I'd like to see him in drama a bit more.. He's doing a lot of science fiction or fantasy stuff...Its good to see him play different characters but I would love to see him in a more..realistic movie.

LOL! Sounds like you are talking about Neil! He was adorable in that role!!! Hopefully we will get to see some drama in Retreat. We will have to wait and see.
What do you think about Cillian in an epic-adventure film? An Indiana Jones type. Not in the form of Indy. The incredible Harrison Ford effectively killed him off in ...The Crystal Skull.

Haha yeah Neil is nice, I like Jonathan too. Pig's a bit too freak. Micheal in Perrier's Bounty is cool but he complains a lot... About the Crystal Skull, I didn't see this one and don't think I will ! And for your question.. I think it would be very funny . He's got the talent for it, he can be anybody and we believe it... In fact ALL I want is a movie with Cillian but not in second role, I want the story to be ALLL about him .. Do you think he would be nice in a Macho man role, smoking and drinking..speaking low..with lots of women?..(I personally think it would be CRAZY hah.!)

In fact, this is something I would very much like to see him explore. He's gone quite out of his way to downplay his looks in the majority of his films, and while I understand that his motivation in doing so was to establish credibility as a serious actor, I would now like to see Cillian embrace what he so vibrantly is... which is a very stunning man. He came close to this potential as Rippner, displaying a very masculine charm, so we know he's capable. I want to see him take it all the way.

oooo yeah, I would like to see him in a role like that too. Would also like to see Cillian play a role as a teacher/professor or playing the part as a family man where he has a bunch of crazy kids running around....haha...that would be so funny and cute!

Ohhh, like the "happy Rippner" idea! Hehe. I think he would make an outstanding professor! I would excel in mathematics (my worst subject) if he were teaching it! A professor that plays Rugby!!! Now that would be nice! So want to see him play Rugby!

MY favorite type of romance is the teacher student one. Cillian could be this hot perfect intelligent teacher... And one of her student falls in love with him...And he does too even if he knows it's not right.. Some kind of forbidden love, very intense.

yum...but, I'd love to actually see him as a married hopeless romantic who doesn't know how to make his wife happy...woah, i don't know why but I just have deja vu about writing this--it's time for bed!

The one I'll always regret-- kind of, since it was still an incredible movie, and Sam Rockwell was perfect in it-- was the role of Sam in Moon. He would have been great in that...!
Onwards, though (even if it really is more like looking backward), since I've been watching a ton of Bogart films lately: the Leslie Howard role, as the disenfranchised, drifting scholar-poet, in Petrified Forest (and Duke Mantee would be a great part for Leonardo DiCaprio!), or heroic, soul-weary Frank McCloud in Key Largo.
(Both of 'em were originally plays: a chance to get Cillian back up on-stage, yes...?)

Punctuator, I have Moon at home, but it will have to wait. Tonight is all about Inception!!
I have been thinking classic roles today too! Here is a repost from what I wrote a few minutes ago--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am full of ideas! Thinking specifically about roles for Cilly and where, it seems, he plans to go from this stage. If he is going to increase in stardom on the US side of the pond, he needs to enlarge his area of expertise into different genres. He should do something fun, that appeals to either the family or classic movie lovers. With this in mind, how about a recreation of Breakfast at Tiffany's? (Yawn..you say) He would make such a good Paul or Fred (take your pick). They would have to write an entire storyline around it to make it interesting, but it would get people into the theatres. His name would be forged into american hearts forever, if it were done right.
I cannot think of anything Sherlock Holmes-esque that deserves the silver screen. I have always wanted a script to be written about Edgar Allan Poe and his neurosis. I don't think that is something for Cilly, especially if he does the Dali film. Tomorrow is another day. Maybe I will come up with something better later. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I haven't seen Petrified Forest, and its been a long time since I have seen Key Largo. I will check them out. Cilly on stage again...they better have defibrillators!!!

Hum,no no!Great idea!!A reviewed version of Breakfast at Tiffany's..hum!Classy enough. I have always wanted a script to be written about Edgar Allan Poe and his neurosis. I don't think that is something for Cilly, especially if he does the Dali film. Which one of Poe?It depends.. I'm really excited about the film about Dali and Stan L. but I'm worried about his(Cillian)character. Will he appear as real character..wondering.I really hope so!Co-starring Al Pacino would be just amazing. Cilly on stage again...they better have defibrillators!!! Looolll!!You make me laugh!!

So here is my thought for today: I would love to see Cillian join the cast for The Hobbit. Doesn't really matter what roll since he is a fabulous actor. Cillian working beside Ian McKellen just seems SO RIGHT!!! (Not even going to make that joke)
