Hello! I have been lurking on this site for several months now, and have resisted the urge to join the forum because I thought I didn't need to join another one. My schedule is kind of hectic and I didn't want to add yet another temptation for me to spend endless hours on the net just to satisfy another obsession. Well, I can't fight this feeling anymore because I need an outlet for my Cillian obsession (considering the people around me don't really want to hear me rave about him). I want to be free to express my feelings and thoughts...and was just really happy that one of his straight-to-DVD movies got shown on cable. LOL. I just wanted to share it here. I don't know if that matters, and I don't know why it made me so deliriously happy, but I guess I'll just post it in the appropriate thread. At least I know no one here will think I'm crazy. ;D Anyway, I just wanted to thank all the forum members out there who share their wealth of Cillian Murphy information to other fans like me. Hi impeachy, welcome to the forum ! I was reading your other post in (what filmed hooked you on Cillian) ....That's so cool your husband dragged you to those movies. I'm sure for most of us its the other way around. At least now you can blame your husband and tell him it was his fault for your Cillian obsession haha. oh and thanks alot for this thread title. Now that REO speedwagon song is going to be in my head all day.......just joking  |

Hi impeachy and welcome! Your description of your feelings reminds me a bit of myself. XD About Cillian, I first thought "Oh well... Just another crush on a celeb. Happens to me every six months or so.... Soon it will be over." But no way! It was growing deeper and deeper and I can tell know for sure: My obsession for Cillian will be a life long thing. ;D Cause Cillian is not just a good looking man, hes an outstanding, many-facetted actor and has a fascinating personality (as far as I can tell from reading tons of Interwiews... XD ) I definitley not think you'r crazy!! Just infected. |

Hello, all! Thank you so much for the warm welcome. It really warms my heart, considering I was so nervous when I registered because I didn't know if the people here were going to be nice to me or not. I'm enjoying it here so far because the people are so friendly. I hope to be able to join in future discussions whenever I drop by the forum. See you all! He shouldn't complain because he made me watch Cillian's movies in the first place. LOL. I've been trying to get my husband to watch my "Inception" DVD and "28 Days Later" VCD, but he hasn't gotten around to watching them yet. He's kind of busy nowadays. I guess the thing with Cillian's movies is that most of them are stuff that guys would actually want to watch. I try not to gush too much about Cillian's movies to my husband, compared to how I squeal to my friends who just roll their eyes at me. I just try to act cool around my him whenever there's a Cillian movie on cable or if I'm watching one on DVD. I want to "condition" his mind to the fact that Cillian is not "the enemy." LOL. That way, I don't get the cold shoulder if he sees my stash of Cillian movies at home. (I learned this the hard way. We once got into a huge fight over a photo of an actor I used as my cellphone wallpaper.) I was actually hearing the REO Speedwagon song in my mind when I wrote my first post. LOL. No probs at all on the welcome I'mPeachy! I know what you mean about being nervous posting on the first time on forums. I've been the same before. And unfortunately there are some pretty unfriendly forum communities out there on the web. As you've realised though, this is a very friendly one! ;D Occasionally, like with pretty much anywhere, you get the odd problem poster pop up. But I'd say that's pretty rare. And it's been a pretty long time now since the last time anything like that happened here. However, if it happens at any point you come across any kind of problem in relation to that kind of thing, please feel free to pm any one of the moderators any time (which would include Pisces, me, Razzthekid and Rukia) and we'll be sure to sort things out! @emma286: Thanks! That's true...it's not uncommon to come across people who are downright rude and disrespectful in forums and message boards on the net. The only other forum I'm on is much like this one. The people are nice, friendly, and are capable of intelligent conversations (if they're not fangirling. LOL!). I wouldn't want to join one that's like a virtual battlefield. I've observed that this forum has something in common with my other forum--the moderators are active and work hard to keep the peace, so to speak, and make the place enjoyable for other members. So, credit also goes to the moderators for all their hard work...and I'm not just saying that to flatter you guys. It's really true. |
