Oh, I've got a question alright, and it's a doozy. I'm cruising for a full-on combination of that timeless Odebolt, Iowa, classic "What the hell are you doing here?" and (from Toronto in 2006) "You actually read that?" That said... mum's the word!

May... 6, I think it was, 2008. Five-and-a-half hour drive down from the Twin Cities, starting right after work at six-thirty a.m. They were rehearsing Peaco[c]k scene 32 (which involved John waving off a woman who drove up to the bank in a green Malibu-- or who was pushed up to the bank in the Malibu by several burly set-guys [this stuff showed up in an Iowa newscast that day, though the scene itself never made it into the movie]-- and saying, "I can't help you."). During a break, I helped the crew shift a few trash cans, and then I walked up to Cillian and said, "Hey, how are you?" He was wearing his Aviators; I couldn't see that he was wearing brown contacts. I was wearing Ray Bans, too (though mine were my crazy-prescription wire square-frames, and my nightshift peepers really needed them on a bright Iowa early-summer afternoon). I had his pre-birthday packet of CDs (local stuff: greetings from the North Star State, all that jazz). He looked at me and did a (very mellow) double-take-- it was that kind of sweet, warm May day (the kind that lulls you into a false sense of security and then drops a hellzapoppin' thunderstorm on your head five hours later)-- and said: "What the hell are you doing here...?"
Which was only appropriate, given that we were-- about as literally as it's possible to be in the Upper Midworst-- in the middle of nowhere. An honest-to-gum no-one-expects-the-Spanish-Inquisition moment. Surreal....

@ Kaelyn, even though mine aren't that creative, I don't mind if you ask my questions. If you get the chance though, to ask him anything, I would really like to know the answers to Caits #'s 6&7 questions.

I have one question that i would like to ask. I may or may not ask it, depending on what i feel like on the day, and whether someone else asks something very similar.

I gotta question! Can someone ask him to do more comedic movies, rom-coms and such? Cos I LOVED him in Watching the Detectives! I was actually in tears of laughter!!

I have perhaps the lamest question of all... it's more the type of thing I'd ask him if we were hanging out, and just bullsh*tting over drinks. I'd want to know if he enjoyed putting the pedal to the metal in those muscle cars in Now... and which one he piloted. ;D He's probably not even a car guy, but I've broken the ice with so many men by talking about cars, that that's the first thing that comes to mind. Maybe, when all the promo starts for Now, someone will ask him that question for an article or something. LOL.

I'm curious to know the car question also. Bet he wouldn't have much to say because I think your right Pisces...he doesn't seem much of a car guy. Isn't he a bad driver? That one interview( last summer).....something about failing his driving test a few times haha. Oh sh*t I forget which one that was. I'll look for it

Just thought i'd warn all of you travelling from the US and abroad, that the Queen is going to be visiting Ireland on the same Wed, Thurs and Fri so it may make things a bit more difficult. I know she's going to be in Dublin on Wednesday and they're talking about closing roads to traffic and only have certain parts of roads open for pedestrians to cross the street at. So far i think she's going to be in Kildare and Cashel on Thursday but she does plan on going to Cork at some stage too, so it could be Wednesday evening which would mean pretty much the same as in Dublin i expect: lots of security and Garda and road diversions etc. Anyway thought i'd give ye a heads up on that front. Who knows- you might get to meet Cillian and the Queen while you're here! Maybe she's a big Cillian fan and will show up for the interview!
