OMFG!!!!! SO MUCH NEW YUMMINESS!!! What do I gush over first??? What a dilemma!!   ;D I will start with Dillinger. I have to agree with you, Zombie, that he has a strange way of creeping under your skin. Or maybe it's that your drawings have made him even sexier to me (very possible!)  I really can't decide which of these three drawings are my favorite. In the first one, I love his bearded, square jaw, and the way he is talking with his hand. This one has a wonderful flow to it, because you lead the eye around with the hand, the forearm, back to his face... the hand again, and on... ;D And my GOD you always get his mouth and lips PERFECT. Even when he is speaking. It amazes me. In the second one, I love his "grid suit" - whether or not we ever get to see him wear one, at least we have your images! These could very well pass for storyboards... have you considered contacting Disney..?  Ahhh... that third one. I think this one is my favorite. It has a softness to it that seems appropriate to Dillinger, and yet again (stop me if you've heard this before), you have captured his facial features to stunning perfection. Sometimes when I look at your art, I am just smiling and shaking my head in admiration - which is exactly how I reacted to this one. It's SO accurate. And yet stylized enough that it has an artsy feel, and that's one hell of a fine line to walk. Yet, you pull it off!! ;D His beard almost looks touchable, as does his hair. The heavy-lidded gaze, the full and pouty lips... you nailed it ALL. f*cking incredible. AND- the bonus Raymond Leon pic!! UNF!!! Love the c*cked eyebrow!!! Just so happens that I agree with him - it's well PAST time for that trailer!!! PILING ANOTHER CB ON YOUR STACK - YOU DESERVE IT!!! IMPRESSIVE AND GORGEOUS ART!!!

These could very well pass for storyboards... have you considered contacting Disney..? ;D I was thinking (or better say daydreaming ) about the Tron filmmakers to notice my Dillinger Grid suit concept drawings and might take them as an inspiration. XD How ever... I'm quite obsessed with that whole "Dillinger in the Grid" thing. Thinking about wearing him such a suit in Tron 3 gives me shivers of pure pleasure. I think I just get a heart attack in the cinema if that happens... It's SO accurate. And yet stylized enough that it has an artsy feel, and that's one hell of a fine line to walk.  Why was I drawing this... ?  Maybe because I'm longing for some Raymond Leon. Yeah ! I was thinking a lot about him today. About his part in the story, about his character. I don't know why I have this urge to draw him leaning against a wall, grieving over some unpleasant things.... LOL I know only little about his character (I keep from spoiling myself too much about the movies content ) but somehow I have the feeling he could be a lonely man, full of grief, somehow suffering, frustrated... Oh well... maybe I just hope he's kind of such a character. I like that ! |

I'm like you - I think of him as a solitary kind of man, if for no other reason than because his job takes up so much of his time that he has little room for anything else in his life. But GADZOOKS I love this drawing!!! ;D :-*I love the rough look to it, and his frustrated expression. The way he's seemingly grabbing at his forelock reminds me of that recent black and white pic of Cillian from the Holyoak shoot. Which is to say that it's sexy as hell. Favorite things about it: the furrowed, troubled brow... his forearm and shoulder.... and gahhhhhhhhh... that flat flat FLAT stomach. All that running has kept Mr. Leon (I'm already thinking of him as Captain Leon, though I have no idea of his rank) in fine, fine shape. But what leaps out is the emotion coming from him - he seems caught in some private, internal struggle. GORGEOUS AND POWERFUL PIECE!!! CB FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!! |

So much new amazing art for me to drool over!!! I don't think I can handle it!! Zombiekitten, I think the producers of Tron should definitely use your Dillinger sketches! They are AMAZING. And that sketch of Raymond...UNF. I just love that pose against the wall, and the beautiful anguish on his face. It's perfect! I just gave a CB away, but you are definitely getting some from me very soon!! Brilliant work. ;D

I need help !! I have a struggle with Dillinger ! (not a pleasant one...XD) I'm drawing on that naughty Dillinger artwork I was talking about earlier in this thread. And I have some problems with it... I'm doing now something I never do: Showing a part of an artwork I'm absolutely not satisfied with... (even ashamed of...)  But I'm kind of stuck... Well... Here you can see the head. (I won't dare to show you the rest until it's finished. Hahaha) But there's just something about it that seems to be wrong and somehow odd, strange, even ugly (to me)... I can't figure out exactly. Maybe his eyes... I don't know. But maybe you spot something I missed 'cause I already was working too long at it. Please don't hold back with critics, be honest. Be cruel !! (I have to add that his look is meant to be somehow dissolute and naughty, that's why his eyes are half closed and have that strange shape. And the style I chose was more or less some kind of a manga style) It's a drawing I really don't want to screw up. It is already a quite embarrassing drawing and I don't want it to get somehow ugly and odd and even more embarrassing because of some silly looking flaws ... OMG ... ^////////////////////^

zombie! ... lol.. dont worry i'm sure you'll get Dillinger so you're happy with him. IMO he looks sleezy in the last pic, the expression in his eyes is not the same as your previous ones (which are brilliant BTW) the other pics Dillinger has a very intelligent look, and a bit like he's so much better than everyone else lol, like condesending/arrogant if you know what i mean in the last one there is something about the mouth corners coupled with the eyes that makes him look more like a coked-up rock star kind of look, like arrogance but because he knows he's hot as opposed to the Dillinger arrogance which is: 'cos i know i'm much more intelligent than you' plus his eyes look kind of stoned/high etc (hense the 'coked-up' comment) I hope you know what i mean, i'm sorry if i'm not very clear, just my impression of the differences between the ones you're happy with and this last one. I think Dillingers character has not been revealed too much for you to create the personality in it. I think that's why you are frustrated. He was just sat behind a desk chirping a few arrogant lines. Not enough to paint your Dillinger properly... coz I know you draw in depth like, you know you capature the personality too...Also I think maybe it's his eyes are not 3 dimentional like your other characters' images, they're usually like big sparkling crystal globes. Still whatever you do looks amazing! |

But I think in my mind Dillinger has already developed a quite wide character, for I like to interprete an imaginary person and to project my own thoughts and taste in such a chara. And:This Dillinger here is the Grid-Dillinger. A virtual Dillinger, not the real one. XD Kind of an own creation of my. ;D I think maybe it's his eyes are not 3 dimentional like your other characters' images Yeah !! You're absolutely right about that ! They do look pretty flat.
