Either I am blind or there is no general area to just...talk about our favourite person. Is there a reason? I wanted to post so many things but there are no threads about it or it doesn't need a thread to talk about, so I find it hard, lol. Is it okay if we can have a thread to just talk about random Cillian stuff? If so, just start to talk.

Good idea Love Is Blue  If I may I'll help start it up. I've had "crushes" on lots of different actors in the past and I assume I will have tons more in the future but Cillian by far has lasted the longest for me, by that I mean I have not lost interest in him like I have with other actors in the past. But I am not just "crushing" on Cilly I ADORE HIM!  He has been my favorite actor for over 4 years and he IS going to stay #1 for me. |

There are 2 things that scares me about Cillian...
Firstly I once promised because of some stuff that happened to me that I'd never fall for a guy with blue eyes and a haircut like his... But now I can sit for hours staring into his eyes on a picture...
Also other than that I can't find one thing about him I don't like... that scares me... I mean is he really that perfect?

Yeah I wish he didn't smoke, but I can't say I hate it about him... as long as he don't smoke people in the face like my mum does

I know, he shouldn't smoke. maybe we could CONVINCE him not too. somehow.
Today, I told my friend about Cillian Murphy. She is OBSESSED with Harry Potter. She did some research and started asking me about what Inception is, what Breakfast on Pluto is (You should have seen her face when I told her that one!)
and then she said, "You know, he reminds me of Dumbledore with his beautiful eyes." Like, WHAT!?

Sorry for the DP, but my dad is being rude, lol. He just said he vomited while listening to Cillian's So New, and now he is changing the words to immature things.
He also finds him...UGLY!  I changed the desktop picture to his face. You know what he said? "Sophie, you can put his face on the desktop just...make sure he's wearing a burlap sack on his head."
WHY DID HE HAVE TO WATCH BATMAN!?

Aw that sucks Blue!
I just had a verbal fight with myself because I picked up my Breakfast on Pluto DVD and I had almost just watched it... I ended up fighting with myself whether or not I should see it again... in the end I agreed with myself that I shouldn't, but as a consolidation I'll watch 28 Days Later!

I know! One of my friends hates EVERYTHING I like, just to annoy me. I'm going to force him to watch a marathon of Cillian Murphy movies.

Aaaw 28 Days later isn't that scary LOL but okay I have watched gory horror since I was a little girl so that might be why... plus if you get scared you can just drool over Jim!
A movie that managed to scare me though was Sunshine! the scene where Pinbacker is chasing Capa around freaks me out! I watched it for the first time on TV back in 2007 I think it was and I couldn't sleep after that! I still can't!
Aaaand last night I couldn't sleep either, I found out they are showing Sunshine on TV here next Sunday! I danced around the room happy... my cat looked at me like I was insane!
Funny story actually, I remember watching it the first time and thinking 'that long haired guy is kinda cute... not quite my type but soo cute'...

That's exactly what I thought as I saw Sunshine for the first time on TV !! I knew Cillian already at that moment from Red Eye and I really liked him as an actor and thought he was cute and interesting looking. But he wasn't quite my type for I usually fall for men with more "harder" and rawer features, sort of Michael Fassbender or Gabriel Byrne like men. But Cillian is just so special, so fascinating looking, so undeniably beautiful with that special "something" in his look, I fell in love with him although he wasn't my type at first sight. ;D And now I think he's the most beautiful human being on this earth.... LOL About other men considering Cillian as "ugly".... My boyfriend says things like this too !!!  He doesn't understand why I am attracted to him. I just don't know why so many men don't seem to realize Cillians beauty... Maybe they are jealous or something... |

That's exactly what I thought as I saw Sunshine for the first time on TV !! Seconding that, the first time I saw Sunshine with my father it scared the hell out of me, but somehow I managed to stay until the end because I was very curious about this actor. I mean, all the emotions he can show through his eyes... It's still one of the scariest movies I've ever seen (I mean, that scene when they enter Icarus 1 for the first time, with dust everywhere and the flashes of the first crew... Terrifying!). I remember the day I went to see it at the cinema, the sound was too loud and it was very cold in the room (it's an old cinema), very dark, the bright scenes burned my eyes, but I think Mr Murphy has something to do with that... Like it's mystified now. All the emotions that I felt were a bit exagerated because of this very dark, cold and silent room. We were the only ones in the whole cinema. I didn't sleep quite well that night. xD We have a word to qualify faces like Mr Murphy's in french. It's "anguleux". I have absolutely no idea of how to translate it in english, but basically it says it's like his face is made of crystal, or any other hard rock. It was carved in crystal. He has one of those faces you remember. When you see someone like that in the street, you think "woah that's a face I've never seen before". With all these models we see in the movies, their perfect beauty, their symetric faces, someone like that is like a blow of fresh air. I am a huge fan of Mr Murphy because he can prove to Hollywood that you don't have to be a Brad Pitt or an Orlando Bloom (don't get me wrong I think Brad Pitt is very talented and Orlando Bloom is... okay?) to be a star. He has true, genuine talent. And of course, these wonderful out-of-time-and-space blue eyes. |

I completely agree with you, Jinx. Most of these stars now are....well, not very good role models, lets just say. ^_^ Cillian is just....just- MAGICAL!
Wait, wait wait wait wait.... So....what movie' would recommend me to see? I have...only seen 8 of his movies! *SOBS* Mostly because I am too young to watch them lol, but I have sneaked in, like, three movies I haven't been aloud to watch, so....XD What movies would you recommend a less-than-fourteen year old to watch? MY MIND IS STILL FEEBLE, LOL.
