I was such a bookworm - I was reading Charlotte's Web there. I recognize it in my hands. I guess the obvious 70's era style of my clothes and the original Star Wars poster on my wall give away how long ago this was... a galaxy far, far away....

You guys are soooo cuuuuute! Love your hair, Pisces! I couldn't find any pictures of me in the whole house, so I had to dig out a very old blog I was writing when I was like 12 years old. And I found one. I still look like a boy, and sometimes I'm being hit on by girls who think I'm a man. I think it's fun! Anyway, this is me, age 6, fishing in the lovely river of the Charentes Maritimes. Gorgeous place, with wild horses and beautiful birds. I used to spend my holidays there, playing with the old horse and fishing with my dad.

Aaw you were such a cute 6 yearold Jinx! and good thing you think it's fun about girls hitting on you, my ex girlfriend had the same problem and despite being gay she hated it! I know some of her friends tried to put makeup on her and that helped a lot but she never used it since...

I know what you mean, it can be awkward sometimes, but I take it as it comes: simply by being myself. I've always been a tomboy, as far as I can remember I've always enjoyed playing with boys rather than girls, get my clothes dirty, climbing trees, scratching knees, you know. And my voice is pretty low too, my hair is short and all my friends call me androgynous (my boobs are smaller than Keira Knightley's, when I dress like a man, I look like a man ;D). Your ex girlfriend should not take it that way. It's not a question of femininity, it's a question of enjoying playing a character you wouldn't be if it wasn't for this moment. And I've already been hit on by a man who thought I was a man and I was gay. That was epic! ;D

Aaawie Megan you were so cute in that outfit!
I don't know if it's my face or what it is but I've been mistaken for a transsexual a few times... The last time I wore pants to school two little kids seriously asked me if I was a boy or a girl... might be the hair I had at the time. pitch black, short with spikes and long fringe... Then I joined a LGBT dating site and I kept wondering why only men who listed themselves as gay contacted me... Until someone finally told me he thought I was transsexual... Some day I am gonna go out in a drag queen outfit and deepen my voice and all... I HAVE to try that

It was fun. Really really fun. The funny thing is, I still remember some of the stage directions even now. There was a part in The Sound of Music where the father says "The first rule in this house is discipline" and I had to make my way to the wings of the stage at this point. Another thing, where Gretl is afraid of the thunderstorm and runs into the Governess' bedroom, someone would stand outside the door with their hand in the air. When the arm fell to her side, that's when I'd run in.
Funny, the things you remember. I adored it. I was such a confident little one. I think it's because I'd done theatre, dance, pageants and the like since I was two years old. But for some reason, once I hit the age of around ten or eleven, that all disappeared. My confidence went. I became shy. I 'drew inwards'. Oddly enough, it coincides with my mother marrying my first stepfather. How strange to look back and realise why things were different.
I love the pic of you with your leg in plaster, Rose. Poor little you.
