Those 2 minutes was the best 2 minutes of my life so far... Not even kidding!
So this story idea has been on my mind for a while but watching that video I just couldn't hold it in anymore...
Future parts will be 18+ but please be patient...
Leon's Promise

Leon sat in his cruiser panting; he was in a hurry, a bloody hurry! He dared not look at the clock on his arm… he knew what it would tell him anyway. He was about to get out and run when someone knocked on the window and he looked to see a familiar face, a very familiar face and the sight made his jaw drop…
Leon opened the door and stepped out locking his icy blue eyes with the woman’s brown eyes. “Ray!” she smiled and embraced him; the man was dumbstruck. “Alyssa! You’re still alive” he broke the embrace and placed her back on her feet. “I should say the same to you!” she said with a smile on her lips “I’m really sorry but I’m in a hurry” he told her and passed her by. “Aren’t we all?” she followed him in the same fast pace. “Alyssa not now” he panted; he was usually very agile but today he was so out of breath “If it’s time you need I’d give you an hour of my time if you’d just talk to me” she let him know. The leather clad man stopped dead in his tracks and looked at her. “What?” he questioned “You heard me” she crossed her arms over her chest “You don’t have time to waste!” he told her and started pacing away again. “I have time for this” she yelled back “Fine” Leon heaved a sigh. The woman gave him his time; he had approximately 5 minutes left when she let him have an hour of her own time. Leon sighed with relief as she replenished his clock. “You’re off duty then?” she asked when she was done; he nodded. “Where can we talk?” she wanted to know. “My car” he said and she followed him to it and sat in the passenger seat.
“What do you want from me?” he asked her as soon as the doors were closed “Aren’t you glad to see me?” she smiled at him. He bit into his lip “It’s been 50 years” Leon replied “I know it has Ray, I know” her eyes shut “But why now?” Leon asked her. She wet her lips. “Do you remember your promise?” she asked him reopening her eyes to lock them with his. He swallowed hard “We were kids!” “We were 24” she let him know “None of us seriously thought we’d live this long” his throat felt incredibly dry. “You still promised” her hand reached out for his “I know you remember” her eyes grew wet “A boy would say anything to you” he quivered at her cold touch. “It mattered to me, Ray it kept me alive” she said with a sob “Great” he said tiredly “I’m glad” she couldn’t tell if he really cared or not by the tune of voice he used “I’m not asking you to love me again” she told him and he bit into his lip again “Stop this, I’m not doing it” his hand left hers “All I’m asking you is to give me a baby” her words nearly got caught in her throat “I said no!” he raised his voice “Why?” she crossed her arms “Because it’s stupid” he told her “It isn’t Ray… I want this baby” the eyes that looked at him made him shut his “I don’t have time to be a father” he said tiredly “That was never part of the deal” she reminded him “I know but we didn’t know what we were talking about back then… a baby is serious business” he explained “I’m so lonely Ray” she cried “Please” she begged him “Why me anyway?” he wanted to know “Firstly you promised” she answered “secondly you have good genes” “Alyssa!” he scolded “When I had to leave 50 years ago I only promised you this so I had an excuse to have sex with you if I ever ran into you again” he said coldly. “Then what’s the problem?” she wanted to know “That a baby isn’t the answer to your loneliness!” his hand lay on the wheel “Everyone’s dead Ray; Mike, Mary, Jolene… they all ran out of time; I have no one!” she raised her voice desperately “I know” he faced away from her “No you don’t know and you don’t care!” she yelled “I do” he was still facing towards the window watching people moving past the parked car “I really don’t have time for this” he said and started shuffling around “You never have, when ever things get a little serious you always say that!” she spat at him “But you know what? You make time for the things that are important, you make time!” “It’s not always that simple” he informed her dryly. “I think I know what’s wrong” she told him “You’re not able to perform” she challenged him “What?” he yelled offended “I am very capable!” he now faced her again with his icy blue eyes on fire “Then prove it” she mocked him “Shut up” he shook his head at her and she started laughing. “You haven’t changed much” he said as he softened to her laughter “Remember when you used to chase me around with a toy gun and you’d pretend you were a timekeeper?” her hand landed on his thigh “Things were so much easier” he admitted “When we got a little older, do you remember you still pretended to be a timekeeper?” her hand now grazed his thigh “You loved that” he remembered “You loved playing a dirty cop…” she looked into his eyes “What do you say? For old time’s sake?” she purred “Please stop” he begged, laying his head back. “I have to go home and rest” “Great, take me with you!” she sounded excited “No, Alyssa it’s been a blast but no” he said and got out of the car and went to open the door on the passenger side “Get out please” he told her and she looked up at him. “Ray I’m begging you!” she cried out as he pulled her out the car earning them a few stares from people passing by “Am I that ugly?” she said as tears started rolling down her cheeks “No and you’re making a scene” he spoke through his gritted teeth “If you want a scene I’ll jump from the bridge” she spat at him. He pushed her against his shiny black car; holding her by the wrists “What the hell happened to you?” he yelled at her “Alyssa what the hell happened?” “I need you” she answered him with a sob “I have been looking for you for 50 years” she let him know “I thought I could do it but I couldn’t” she felt the grip on her wrists soften “I had to leave” he defended himself “Don’t you understand that?” “I even tried getting in trouble with the system… but it was never you, I was so desperate” she admitted. Leon swallowed “I need you” she was shivering “Sometimes I’d be ready to give up telling myself you had a wife and kids by now… do you?” her eyes pierced through to his “No I don’t have time for that” he finally let go of her. “Time!” she shrieked “I hate time! Time messed up my life… time stole you away from me” she sank to her knees and started crying helplessly “Hey it’s gonna be okay” he crouched down and picked up her face with his index finger and looked into her wet eyes “How?” she asked “I’ll give you that baby if it’s the last thing I do” he told her and she sobbed again. He helped her into the car, giving an apologetic smile to a few people who stood gawking at the scene.

So will Leon fulfill his promise? Can two people who haven't seen each other for 50 years really click like nothing happened? does the past change anything?

“What happened to you?” he repeated his question as he had closed the door and put the car into gear taking the two of them back to his little flat. She was drying her tears with the back of her hands. “Nothing” she said dryly. The short drive was done in silence and the silence continued when he lead her into his home and locked the door after her. “I’m gonna get some sleep now… Take whatever you want from the fridge” he said tiredly and slipped off his long leather coat. She walked to the fridge in the small kitchen and opened it. “You really haven’t changed” she called out to him “Oh?” he questioned as he removed his bulletproof west. “Beer, milk, bread and butter” she observed “You still live like a teenager” she teased him “I do not!” he was taking off his boots now. “Yes you do, I like it” she giggled as she got out the bread and put two slices in the toaster. “Dry bread, still?” he called out removing the second boot from his foot. “You still use a damn lot of butter right?” she asked “None for me, I’m going straight to bed” he called out as he undid the gun strap on his leg “Do you ever eat?” she asked tapping her long fingernails against the counter waiting for the bread to finish. “Yes, when I have time” he answered her as he slipped out of his black pants and now went to bed. “Time” she heaved a sigh and the toast was ready. She grabbed a slice and took a bite. “Goodnight then” she said as she walked back into the combined living room and bedroom. She took another bite as she leant on the small table and watched him laying there in bed. He didn’t answer… he fell asleep right away.
She finished her toast and went to get the other slice and ate it sitting on the one chair that stood next to the table; watching his chest rise and fall…
When she had cleaned up after herself she tiptoed to his bed and lay down next to him; she basically clung to him but he barely stirred in his sleep. She kissed his cheek and ran her finger through his black hair and closed her eyes falling asleep with a smile on her lips…
Leon woke in the morning with a start like he always did; always ready to run out of the door. He heard her softly moan and instantly looked to see the half naked woman sleeping next to him with her arm resting on his naked chest. He smiled to himself at the sight. He couldn’t get his eyes off of her and noticing the bread crumb on the corner of her lips nearly killed him.
He tried his best not to stir her when he wiped it away but she stretched like a cat and opened her eyes and her lovely warm brown eyes looked into his. “Good morning” she purred at him. He moved a lock of hair out of her face in a swift hand movement; the two people just lay there looking at one another enjoying every second of it.
“I wish I could lie like this forever” she said dreamily and snuggled closer to him; his hand was absentmindedly playing with her long hair as his gaze sought towards the ceiling. “Don’t you?” she gently poked him “Sure” he yawned and shifted to sit up in the bed. She sat up too looking disappointed at him “Remember your promise” she told him pretending to sulk. He patted her on the head “Later, I have to get to work” he said and managed to get past her and out of bed and started getting dressed. “Don’t you?” he asked without pausing or slowing down the rate he was getting dressed in. “I don’t have to work” she said and tried to sort out her hair “I earned a lot of time looking for you” she said as she started braiding a few strands of her hair “How on earth did you manage that?” the busy man stopped what he was doing. “Well you know I was always popular with the guys and well… some men are just very generous” she shrugged her shoulders “Wait a minute” he said and dropped the gun strap to the floor “Yes I was a wh*re for a while” she heaved a sigh “Not for long though… I worked for some rich jerks who all thought we had something special or whatever so they paid me very well” she looked down while talking. “Couldn’t you have had a baby with one of them?” he asked coldly strapping the gun strap and shoved his gun into it. “Ray!” she gasped at his tone “Do you think I liked it? I didn’t! but I did what I had to do to find you” her voice was giving away her wet eyes “How do I know you’re not pretending with me then?” he asked zipping up his protective vest “Don’t be stupid!” she cried “Ray I never stopped loving you” she stumbled out of the bed and clung to him “That’s cute” he said and pushed her away “Ray!” she called out to him but he just swung the leather jacket over his shoulder. “I have to go now” he said and reached for the door “Please be safe out there” she said and he just left and slammed the door…
Alyssa bit harshly into her lip; she shouldn’t have told him… she knew she shouldn’t have! She walked backwards and sat down on the bed and let her tears fall… she was sure she had ruined everything now.
Leon had a rotten day on the job; things that usually bothered him was troubling him harder than ever. He was unfocused and that didn’t help his mood either!
When his shift finally ended and he made it home he found his little apartment cleaned and a real home cooked meal on the table. Alyssa was nowhere to be found and he bit into his lip thinking she was out of his life again…

Leon wanted to go straight to bed when he had come home but the warm meal teased his nostrils and the mere fact that Alyssa had spent her time cooking it just for him made him sit down on the chair and stick his fork into the meat pie. He gasped at the taste; every bite filled with him with memories of a time long gone…
He enjoyed the meal so much he barely noticed the note she had left him. When he noticed it he reached for it and nearly choked.
“I think you need some time, I’ll come back tonight. If you don’t want me anymore call my number and I won’t bother you again. Alyssa”
Leon finished his meal and went to bed not caring to clear the table.
Several hours later Alyssa unlocked the door and tiptoed in careful not to wake the sleeping Leon who didn’t even stir. She cleared the table quickly and trying not to make too much noise she washed the dishes and went into his bathroom and turned on the shower; got undressed and got under the showerhead and let go of the whimpering sobs she had wanted to get out since she left the bedroom of her least favorite client.
She hugged herself and cried so hard that she never noticed that the door to the bathroom opened.
Leon had awoken and hearing the water run he sprinted to the bathroom knowing it would have to mean Alyssa was back. The sandblasted glass obstructed her face so he never knew she was crying; she never knew he was watching her silhouette for a while until she turned and turned off the water. Leon darted out and crawled back to bed and closed his eyes somewhat ashamed to have been watching her.
Alyssa dried herself and naked as the day she was born she walked back to his bed and lay down against him closing her eyes. Feeling him against her made her feel safe and she fell fast asleep…
Alyssa woke up when warm lips kissed hers. Her eyes shot open and she looked right into a set of blue, dreamy eyes and broke the kiss. “Ray, Ray is it really you?” she asked bewildered and he smiled at her. “Of course it’s me” he fondled her cheek and she drew a deep breath “It really is you” she reached for his face and like a blind woman she traced out the features of his face “For years I would imagine they were you, that it was you kissing me…” she said as her finger grazed past his lips “That the hands on my body belonged to you… then… then I stopped doing that” her eyes shut and her hands left his face “It’s all okay I’m here now” he said and hugged her close to him. She tried to suppress her whimper but he noticed and instantly let go of her. “It’s fine” she lied and grabbed his hands and put them back where they were despite the discomfort. “Did someone hurt you?” she saw his eyes change in color as he looked sternly into her eyes “Would you like some breakfast or are you leaving early?” she changed the subject knowingly sitting herself up. His eyes travelled down her body and he winced at the sight of the bruises on her hips. She stood up and walked towards the kitchen. “Who did that to you?” he asked getting up himself; he was wearing nothing but his briefs. “It’s fine, he pays extra” she said as she opened his fridge that now was stocked full of things she had bought for him yesterday while he was working. “Scrambled eggs?” she asked reaching for the eggs. “No it isn’t fine” he said walked into the kitchen as she was looking for a frying pan. “Ray, you do your thing and I do mine… I don’t give you grief for being a timekeeper” she reminded him not even looking at him “It’s nothing like that” he leaned against the counter and watched her as she started up the stove “I care about you” he told her and she dropped the egg to the floor and feebly tried to clean it off.

Me!! Me! I want to read it !! Now that I am finally released from Dareks clutch I have time to read LOL I love how Leon appears distant but gentle at the same time! He cares for Alyssa and that comes really through. Poor girl... The world created in "In Time" is such a cruel world and your chara Alyssa is one representative victim of it... I wish for her that Leon fullfills his promise to her. She needs some love...

I couldn't sleep, and that featurette had my head spinning too... so here is the result of that:

“Who did it?” he asked her as she was cleaning up the egg from the floor. He was raising his voice “I just want to forget about it, please” she begged him getting back on her feet and started cracking eggshells on the edge of the frying pan. “Is he rich?” he asked. She heaved a sigh “Of course he is… stop it Ray” she begged “Tell me so I can do something about it” he told her and she shook her head “Do what? He’ll have you suspended or worse” she gritted her teeth “Just forget about it, move on like I’m trying to” she said as she started stirring the eggs around. “I have to leave soon” he heaved a sigh as he realized he wouldn’t get it out of her. “Please have breakfast with me” she looked at him with her brown eyes and he walked over to her and kissed her cheek “Mr. Weiss wants to have a meeting with me” he said and at the mention of the name she closed her eyes and his widened. “Don’t tell me!” he said as his mouth fell open “Will you be back in time for dinner tonight? I have something special planned” she said with a smile “I’ll try” he said and went to the bathroom without another word getting himself a shower. She finished the eggs and ate them right off of the pan. She had lost her appetite but she didn’t want the eggs to go to waste.
When he returned from his shower he was fully dressed and just needed to get his gun. “Let it go!” she reminded him once more “And please come back in one piece” she called out as he slammed the door. She heaved a sigh and started cleaning the kitchen.
Standing in front of Mr. Weiss with his hands on his back Leon was fuming inside but he kept his straight face. He heard what Mr. Weiss was saying but all he saw was his hands on Alyssa and Leon was about to explode. “I’ll take care of it Mr. Weiss” he said and walked away knowing that Alyssa was right, he could do little against a man like that despite his position as a Timekeeper.
Leon took his anger out on the criminal he caught that day; he found great relief tracking him down and giving him the treatment he wanted to give a certain Mr. Weiss…
Driving home he was chewing ferociously on his chewing gum noticing a certain twitch under his eye; it was great having Alyssa back but it had turned his whole world on its head and he wasn’t entirely sure he liked what she was doing to him…
Alyssa was running around like a classic housewife roasting chicken, boiling potatoes and making sauce and while she did so she was even considering making him desert. Honestly she had always hated cooking and would be happy to live off of dry toast and ice cream but she loved cooking for Ray because it made her feel so at home; it made her feel like she belonged with him and always had…
Parking the car he slipped the leather back and revealed his clock. He knew what she had told him but he had 30 minutes left… he bit into his lip as he walked into his home and found her stirring the sauce and the big grin that appeared on her face as she came running towards him.
“Honey you’re home!” she squealed and jumped into his arms. He placed her right back on her feet and heaved a sigh “It smells nice in here” he commented on the scent of the roasted chicken. “Sit down I’ll get you a beer, or do you want some wine?” she asked him and had already darted into the kitchen and opened the fridge when he had processed her question “Uhm, Alyssa I’m short on time” he told her and dared not look at her reaction “That’s fine, I’ll give you an hour” she walked back to him “Give me your hand” she said looking into her eyes “I can’t let you do that” he said as his eyes sought the floor “Of course you can, I’ve got at least a year” she beamed. He cleared his throat “Alyssa it’d feel wrong” he admitted “It was fine last time, come on give me that arm” she laughed. When she reached for his arm he gently pushed her away “Raymond Leon, I have spent all evening cooking for you, so either you take my time or I will spend another night with Mr. Weiss” her voice was cold as ice and her eyes were hot with furry and Leon’s jaw dropped. He could barely remember hearing her use that tone of voice before, let alone his full name… he hardly noticed her threat; his head was buzzing at her tone. “What?” he asked dumbfounded. She had caught him off guard and had managed to grab hold of his arm and started transferring the hour of her time. When he realized what was happening he tried to withdraw her arm but she held on in a strong grip.

“Now sit down and have dinner” she told him as she turned on her heels and went into the kitchen. Leon sat down dumbfounded looking right ahead of him processing what had just happened. “Wine it is” she startled him when she returned with two glasses and a bottle of wine. She dashed back to the kitchen and when she came back she placed the plates on the table; sat down and dug her fork into the salad. He did the same; mostly to be polite and he knew it. He wasn’t hungry, he rarely was even with his demanding job… but 75 years of running for his life had done that to him. You simply got used to it and your body adapted.
She poured wine into his glass and then poured herself some of the white wine and took a big gulp. “Yuck” she complained as her entire face seemed like she had just eaten an entire sour lemon in one go. A small laugh came from Leon who was coming back to his old self. “Why do you drink white wine when you don’t like it?” he asked and she wiped her lip and smiled at him “I have to learn to like it” she reminded him and took another sip “You had about 50 years to learn it though” he let her known and she nodded “I know” she picked at her food again “This chicken is amazing” he commented once he had chewed the first bit of the tender chicken meat. “Thanks” she said and tasted it too. “Why didn’t you buy champagne though, I know you like champagne” he said, getting back to their excuse of a conversation about habits “Champagne reminds me of… stuff” she heaved a sigh and put her fork down. He swallowed hard and put down his fork as well “I shouldn’t have said that” he excused looking at her face to find her eyes that was starring down at her plate “You didn’t know… once champagne reminded me of you; I had my first glass with you when we had been together for a month” a smile spread on her lips again and she looked up to meet his eyes “I didn’t think I liked alcohol at all then and I just had it because you gave me that glass” she told him and he nodded; smiling widely himself “You drank the whole bottle!” he laughed at the memory “I’ve never been so drunk!” she giggled covering her mouth “Do you remember what I did when you woke up the next morning?” he asked her, still laughing whole heartedly “Of course I do! You told me all sorts of lies about what I had done, you told me I went outside naked and that I kissed everyone!” she was laughing so hard now “I had hoped you’d forgotten about that” he laughed too. “Yeah, it turned out all that had happened was that I got sleepy and you put me to bed” she remembered “Strangely I was naked when I woke up though” she reminded him “Well that wasn’t my idea” he said and grabbed his glass and took a gulp of wine “Right but I bet you didn’t mind” she said and watched his lips practically kissing the glass and she had to close her eyes. Those full lips felt so good and she couldn’t help but wish she was that glass or the wine going into his mouth. “I sure didn’t” he said as he put down the glass “Did we do it?” she asked and bit her lip “No, I pushed you away because you were too drunk and I didn’t want to hurt you” he said and cleared his throat. “What a gentleman” Alyssa said and cut into the chicken once more and took yet another bite and felt his eyes on her.
He was indeed watching her chew the moist chicken meat, he watched the fork that gently touched her red lips and secretly wished he was the fork getting to touch her even if it was briefly; he even wanted to be the chicken meat she was carefully grinding against her pearly white teeth…
“Ray why didn’t you want my time? Is it because of how I earned it?” she asked him as she had swallowed the meat. He bit into his cheek and wiped his hand over his mouth. He was at a loss of words. “I can understand that, you must be so disappointed” she said, looking directly at him “No!” he removed his hand and gasped “No it’s not like that” he assured her “I hated working at the factory, and I never made enough money there; I knew I’d run out of time before long and I wanted to live to see you again so I did what I had to do… I did a lot better than other girls in the same line of work” she told him “Stop” he whispered and grabbed his fork harshly “I couldn’t believe my eyes when one man took me to New Greenwich and he referred me to some of his friends too… I was lucky, Ray I was lucky” she told him. Leon’s knuckles turned white “Stop!” he said and banged his fist into the table “Ray it’s okay, it’s all okay” she told him. She didn’t jump at his rough action; she had seen it coming. “And now I’m here with you and I’m gonna have a baby and everything will be all right!” she beamed as she reached for his hand that was still clenching harshly at the metal fork. He took a deep breath as she gently fondled the tight skin on his hand “I’m sorry” he said as he started to calm down “I just wish it never happened” he admitted “But I found you now” she smiled at him

I really wonder where this story is leading to. Because there are so many questions which I'm curious of getting answered. Why does he refuse her so vehemently? Is it only rationality ( a baby is not a good idea etc) or does his disagree to her wish has other reasons? And is the fact that he does not want her to have a baby the only reason why he's refusing her persuasions to have sex with him? That last chapter was quite harsh... How brutal it must be for a woman to be refused right at this point of such sweet elation and sensual rush... I can truly feel with her. Being sexually refused is something very crucial and hurtful for a woman. Also I wonder, why Leon's reaction was that rude. I guess the emotional dilemma he's going through must be immense... They are both very human and thus I feel with both of them. Even more for Alyssa. Her hormons, her wish to get love from Leon and also to have a child with him must driving her crazy. And also she feels so hurtfully lonely, she want's to have a baby, she want's to have a little "bit" of the man she loves in her live. Well aware that she can't have Leon himself. Or can she...?? I must say, I hope they will get togehter again.
