There seems to be some discussion across the internet that Cillian may be returning for a cameo in the forthcoming final film in the 28 trilogy; 28 Months Later.... www.imdb.com/title/tt1322885/This post in particular... www.imdb.com/title/tt1322885/board/thread/184170089?d=187149511&p=2#187149511I've had a scout round for more information but can't find anything yet. I saw an interview with Danny Boyle recently (who is back directing this third film) and he said casting had begun but he was keeping tight lipped to ensure nothing leaked as it was going to be an "epic" finale to the series and he didn't want to spoil anything for the loyal fans. Which, to be honest, seems an odd turn of phrase if someone from a previous film wasn't coming back. If it was an all new cast then the loyal fans wouldn't be any the wiser than a casual fan, surely?

I'm not sure how I would feel if Jim's character was brought back for the final film. I really disliked the sequel, probably because 28 Days was epic on its own. Jim, Selena, and Hannah were perfectly relatable characters, and I think if a story is going to be continued, the original characters shouldn't be scrapped. The director of 28 Weeks had the right idea for the second film, I just didn't find the characters as engaging. There's also the fact that the third film will be based two and a half years later, and it's been nearly ten years since the first film was released, so I'm not sure that would work. If Cillian does have a cameo, of course I'll still watch it!
