P.S. Forgot to chuckle at the fact that Cillian and his Manhattan friends find the Brooklyn pace of life a bit more "chilled out." For a rural resident like me, Brooklyn is still very much the BIG CITY.

For a rural resident like me, Brooklyn is still very much the BIG CITY. Where do you live, cougarlady? Have you been to Brooklyn? You seem acquainted with both! re: Cillian doing movies to pay the bills... I semi agree (see-sawing my hand back and forth). I think he does see it as a means to give himself space to work on other projects like theater, but I think he has a love for film as well. He's just so good in his film roles that there must be a level of passion there as well; it's definitely not something he's auto-piloting because he has to pay the light bill. He needs a movie worthy of his abilities though, and that one has not yet come to pass. I'm a firm believer that it will one day, however.

Thanks, Megan! CB. He seems so enthusiastic in this one. I hope the cold has let go of him already.

Hi Pisces...to answer your question, I live in rural Colorado, where right now the only thing I can see outside are horses and snow. I've been so fortunate to be able to see so much of my country and a bit of the world, I never imagined that I would travel so much in my life. I've visited New York City several times, but only (and coincidentally!) Manhattan and Brooklyn. I suppose when you travel that you enjoy experiencing things that you can't experience at home, so we often find ourselves in large cities whenever we do travel. BTW, I love New York! The first time we visited we actually found ourselves in the front row at the David Letterman show, LOL. One minute we were eating breakfast in a deli, and the next we were at the stage door. My husband was even selected to play a game with Dave, so he was invited backstage and got to meet everyone, lucky guy. Every time we go to NY, something magical and unexpected always happens, and the people are just terrific. Yes, I think you are right about Cillian's film work, he definitely commits and gives his all to a film role. I would venture to guess that he enjoys the actual role preparation and acting, but all the rest of it -- the press junkets and promotion, the red carpet premieres, the waiting around on film sets -- is probably a real grind for him. I think people who are comfortable in their roles as celebrities may have an easier time of it. Sorry for hijacking your thread Megan, thanks again for the link

Sorry, don't mean to take the thread off topic again... but I had to say how much I love Colorado, cougarlady! I was lucky to see it when I was 7 years old, on the way to New Mexico (we were stuck at the Denver airport because of snow), and you mentioning it brought up the memory. SUCH beautiful country. We now return to our regularly schedule programming... Fantastic interview!!!!!

Hijack alert, look away Megan! lol
I hope you return to Colorado soon, Pisces. It really is a rugged and beautiful place. Most of our family members dislike the freezing cold and the high altitude, but we love it here. Did I read somewhere that you live in Florida? We lived and worked in the St. Petersburg area for a couple of years.

I'm always hoping that I will find a member here who lives close but so far I think the nearest member to me is Bunnie in Texas. ;)St Pete is beautiful, btw - my family and I used to vacation in Treasure Island every year, and still drive over occasionally. It's like you say though - we all hunger so see what's different from where we live. I'd LOVE to see the snow and mountains of Colorado again. Or, hell, to see snow again... period. LOL. Not gonna happen here in the Sunshine State.

Thanks Megan!! You get a CB from me. *sigh* I wish I could, just for one day, be in Cillians skin and experience what it must be like to perform a play, to be in that "race"... It must be a completely wonderful feeling... you can really tell that by just listening to his words... P.S.: I like that length of his beard......

yeah, his beard is really sexy at that length...cause the one he had back in Ireland made him look seriously deranged and psycho..

This beard he has right now is perfect I agree, I was really not into the beard he had before... I wish he'd keep it like this... but I have a feeling he's growing it
