Kind of like how Jared Leto hasn't aged since Fight Club

I don't think Leto EVER ages, yet even with him there are pics where he looks different, where his eyes maybe look, I dunno, too close together?
Cillian has a very thin face and I've come to the conclusion that he actually looks more gorgeous with a couple of days of stubble like in Retreat. It makes his face look less angular and it's just hot. That end scene in 28 Days Later is just amazing.
It's weird. In stills taken from the E Online interview he looks pretty much entirely the same as he did in another interview from about 2007. I also think his hair is another factor. He looks so boyish when it's shorter.
God, in Tron with the hair and the beard he looks so stylish and, well, 25.

My best friend and I have long had a term: "man out". As far as I can tell, manning out hits most guys in their late twenties or early thirties. Age settles into their faces and bodies, and they lose fresh-faced boyishness and gain the manly faces they'll have into their maturity. Feature by feature they look the same, but overall they look different in a way that's hard to pin down. I love the way you put this: "man out". Similar to something my mother used to say. And very true! Personally for me, that's when I most prefer a man - when he's left the boyishness behind and moved into full manhood. There has always been something about guys in their early 30's that seems prime to me. But yes, Cillian is starting to look a bit older, which is entirely expected. I think we are all so used to looking at photoshoots that sometimes aren't very up to date, since our man isn't photographed much - some of the pics we love most are nearly a decade old now. So when we see something current from him, we think something looks a little "off", but it's just the discrepancy between "then" and "now", in most cases.

Just another unfair fact of life...men often tend to get even better looking as they age! They do "man out" (lol, love that) and yes, often FILL out with some weight as well. And yes, Cillian looks just as slim as ever. I read that Johnathan Rhys Meyers added and now keeps 25 more pounds of muscle on his frame, just to be considered for more" manly" parts than the type he was being offered. I've wondered if Cillian would ever gain a significant amount of weight for a role if he had to. I've never seen him with an extra ounce, much less an extra pound, yet actors often gain and lose weight for roles. I'm sure for most, the gaining is a lot easier than the losing, lol.

Alisa, you are just amazing!!! Loved watching both of those videos, and as always I love watching Cillian fidget. ;D Did you see how he was constantly putting his hands in and out of his pockets in the first one? He seemed so nervous and awkward. And yes Rose, those striped socks had me giggling! He really does love his stripes.

I read that Johnathan Rhys Meyers added and now keeps 25 more pounds of muscle on his frame, just to be considered for more" manly" parts than the type he was being offered. . Didn't really do him much good. The only films he got to do have been dire. From Paris with Love? Shelter? Jesus. He's playing a bloated bisexual Lord in his latest film with a gut that put him at around three or four months pregnant. I dare say his weight gain didn't do him any good at all other than The Tudors. Which, sadly, was God-awful. I can see why they do it for a particular role, like Tom Hardy for Bronson for example. To do it in the hope of getting roles doesn't seem to make much sense to me. Rhys Meyers is still getting cast as bisexuals after all ;D Cillian looks good with a few extra pounds as it seems to go to his face, smooths out the angles a little. Same with the stubble. It somehow makes him look healthier. He's gorgeous any way.
