Well, as Cait pointed out, the information is coming from the author of an article, not Cillian himself. Perhaps the author just got it wrong. Looks like Danny Boyle and Alex Garland attended in 2003, but no concrete evidence of Cillian.

I think this will be of interest. It's actually really embarrassing that I haven't watched all of Cillian's interviews from Sundance...cause I think about it and get REALLY giddy--and then I can't breathe cause I'm so excited to see something of him recent...
