TRAILER ??!! ? TOMORROW ??!!!  Squeeeeeeeee !!! I hope it so much! I really love that whole vibe about the movie already... I think I read that they will be releasing the full-length trailer with the premiere, so... that's tomorrow!!! ;D Can't wait to see some clips of Cillian in this!! I really hope you did read that! I'm so beyond excited for tomorrow, I almost couldn't concentrate at college today. I feel like it's been way too long since we've seen new pics and videos of our man! |

I read the same thing, that there will be a trailer after the Sundance showing because they wanted total radio silence as this was an equity thing. A trailer gives a pre-conceived notion and they didn't want to do that.
Looking forward to trailer. Can always get a feel for a film from its trailer. I've already seen a number of scenes in picture form that correlate with scenes from the script. I just want to know what the tone's going to be.

The reason they didn't release trailer and the reason only 6 or 7 people have seen is because Sundance is basically their 'equity showing' - its like a bidding war for disribution. The reason why there's been blanket blindness and no trailer/previews is because they wanted this to be the absolute premier. Sometimes a trailer can give some potential investors/distributers a pre-conceived notion about a film. They might assume they don't like it based on this notion. No trailer = no pre conceived notion = best possible position at Sundance. Trailer won't matter if distributers have seen full film so it will be fine to release it.

There's an AP article entitled 'Sundance for Sale' about all the films looking for distributors this year, and it has as its picture a still of Sigourney and Cillian (professionally dressed) that I've not seen. It's currently on the main Yahoo! page under Entertainment. Sorry for the lack of link- I'm on my cell phone.  |

but yay for it being the day! And yay for it being 6:45AM in my country when it starts! ;D Thanks for the poster, Bunnie! And thanks to Cougarlady and Pisces for the informative links! I'm hoping for a flood of cute little interview clips and other things after the premiere. And the trailer, finally! LOL, Pisces, that was the first thing I thought when I saw that pic, he looks so much like Jackson! Even the hair! I wish he wasn't out of focus, but I'm sure there are better pics to come, at least there damn well better be! |
