You're lucky, for us Italians this is September frikkin 14th
You should hear the howling sounds coming from my fellow Fassy fans on Facebook (I run the biggest Italian FB fan page).............we suffered the yellow hair the poor dear was sporting while he was filming. Heck, we are even quite accustomed to him being the yellow haired android. Now we would like to watch the film before the whole internet spoils it all for us.
4 months later than the US opening date. I'm thinking about the possibilities. A trip to the UK? Piracy? Hmmmm I don't like either option.
I guess we were just too lucky with the previous movies, which opened here very early.
Now my only hope is a decent release date for Red Lights. Is it asking too much?

Ugh... Waiting till middle September is indeed cruel....
It's so damn annoying that the release dates for each countries are differing that much.
Piracy isn't an option for me either. First because I want to see a movie to enjoy it. And the most enjoyable way to watch a movie is in a cinema. And second, I think it's very, very unfair to not honor a movie with paying for it decently, for each and every movie involves the hard work, the lifeblood and creativity of many people. Every person who works, earns their money. And so do the filmmakers.

As I work in the industry, piracy is not an option. I'll have to think about an alternative. I really do not think I can squeeze a third trip to London in less than 6 months. At the moment I'm only praying Fox Italy changes its mind and will release it in June. There is already an Italian trailer saying "coming soon". No date. Maybe they're not sure about September. Just wishful thinking, I fear.
That's the punishment for being able to watch both A Dangerous Method and Shame way before everyone else...
Another option could be an advance screening in English...in some festival in Summer. Locarno or Taormina. Hope it is Locarno.

Michael is such an amazing actor, this video is eerily creepy. If you look closely you can see he's crying.
I hope they won't peg him as the usual sex symbol because he's way more than that.
