Okay, I know that very few members will know who he is, and of course we all come here for Cillian ... but I just had to sing Trevor's praises for a moment.
He's the head of the comedy troupe Whitest Kids U Know (their name is not a racist thing - they're poking fun at themselves ), and he's positively magnetic. Trevor is silly as hell, but with intense features that I think could be applied dramatically in a heartbeat if he desired:
I've never laughed so hard at someone on TV as this guy. ;D Even though the show is hit-and-miss - as most sketch comedy is - Trevor is always on the mark. But the most attractive thing about him to me is the way he appreciates his fans - he has a genuine affection for them, and a gratitude for their attentions that is exceedingly rare in the business these days. He interacts with his fans on Twitter daily - answering questions, joking with people... he even used to do live chats with everyone and anyone while his show aired. How many other actors do you know who would do such a thing?
Quote from his website:
If it wasn't for so many of you sending our sketches around the Internet, we never would have gotten the show, and if it wasn't for you guys embracing the show the way you did, we'd never would have been picked up by IFC, and if it wasn't for how awesome you've been to us since then, we'd never have been able to do 5 seasons.
This isn't the end of the story. We'll still tour as a troupe, we'll still make specials and we're writing a new film as we speak – but we're getting to the end of a chapter. And it's been a great chapter thanks to you guys.
Love you all, see you soon
He's fantastic. Really. It's such a warm, welcome change from celebs and actors who seem to feel as though fans are faceless, nameless figures to be avoided at all costs. I know Trevor isn't as famous as some, but his openess and sincere appreciation for where he is and for the fact that his success comes as a direct result of fan interest... ahhhh... such a sweet man.
Okay, done gushing now. Just had to give him some love, and thought I would share it with you all.
