Mods, If there's already a thread like this, point me to it and delete this one. I didn't have time to check. I'm sure we all have our own idea about who Cillian should work with... a director, an actor/actress, producer, set designer, composer, costume designer... Basically anyone who works for a film. What is your collaboration of dreams? Mine is rather unrealistic. I want Cillian to be in a film Perttu Kivilaakso has made the score for. I highly doubt this will ever happen. It won't, I'm sure... It's because of this dream I use Perttu as an avatar on this forum. I just wanna see those two in the same place at the same time. Sorry that you girls have to suffer for it. I'm pretty sure my dream won't come to reality, since Perttu has only done scores for documentary films and video games. His band's music has been featured in many films, but he's not exactly known in the film making circles. And he's busy with the band. Gahhhh... It won't happen. They're both so amazing at conveying emotions without overdoing/dramatizing it. They're both so amazingly good at what they do... Well, this remains a dream... Who do you want Cillian to work with and why?

Cillian Murphy and Adrien Brody...maybe David Tennant in on the mix. both Cillian and Adrien are phenomenal actors and to see them work together...my mind and panties might explode

It's most likely never going to happen and if it ever did I'm not sure how it would work out... but my dream is to see him with Helena Bonham Carter
I have this very soft spot for her, I just can't explain it... to see those two in a relationship, maybe even kiss... I could die a very, very happy woman.
If Tim Burton directed it too, then... *faint*
Its good to dream, isn't it?

Hmmm... for me, the dream would be Cillian starring in a David Fincher film alongside Emily Blunt and James McAvoy, set around the turn of the last century (carriages, gas lamps and high-collared suits galore), with a Michael Nyman musical score. GAH.
Alternatively though, I'd love to see him work with Michael Mann, Martin Scorsese, Cate Blanchett, Guy Pearce. In some sort of contemporary crime drama like The Departed or Heat.

Oooo this is difficult.....hmmm I'd love to see him with Sam Rockwell or Casey Affleck, and maybe in a film directed by Ben Affleck- i can't fault either of his first two ventures into directing, in fact i love them! I like the James McAvoy suggestion but i'm afraid i'd be too caught up in their eyes' to notice anything else! Also the reason why i'm not suggesting my other favourite actor Tom Hiddleston; because it'd just be an overload of beauty and talent and i don't think i'd be able to handle it! Or a beautifully shot period drama by Joe Wright. As for female co-stars, i think it'd have to be Kate Winslet.

I think my dream movie would be a musical by the Coen bothers starring Cilly & Michael Fassbender, possible as two charming scoundrels, that would be awesome. It's rather specific, I know. Alternatively, I can be happy if At Swim Two Birds finally gets produced or if Michael - who's producing and co-writing his own movie ("tentatively titled "Irish Myths", it's about Cuchulain), chooses Cillian as co-protagonist. Actually, this is not sci-fi, as they want to cast the best of Irish talent and you cannot have much better than Cilly...

Tom Hiddleston, James McAvoy. Oh my GOD. I would just die. But, like razzthekid said, to much beauty and my mind would not be able to handle it. I would probably be fangirling the entire time, the movie theater security would have to take me to the police, I would explain why I was acting out, and probably be escorted to a faraway asylum. It would be fun though. One day. One day these men will join forces to create the most gorgeous creation ever. It could probably bring world peace. <3

Since the Coen Brothers did see Misterman, I definitely hope they'll consider contacting Cillian for a role in a future movie. ;D
Ohhh, and yes, I agree, Cillian and Michael Fassbender together on-screen... gah, that would be amazing!
Speaking of, as Michael was cast in Prometheus, I'd love to see Cillian do more sci-fi, with a director very well known and respected within the genre. In other words, Ridley Scott. If Prometheus gets a sequel (since signs may be leaning towards Prometheus being in its own continuity/universe), I really would love to see Cillian get a part in that one.

Seconding EVERY single thing you mentioned Kizuna !! ;D OMG Cillian working togehter with Fassbender... Actually they are planning to work together on At Swim Two Birds. But... that project seems to be still in developement. But Cilly and Fassy together in a stylish sci-fi movie ? OH YES! Also I would really love if Cillian would work together with Tim Burton. I adore his visual style and his story telling. To see Cilly in a Burton movie would be a dream come true. Maybe even something gothic or extravagant? Oh yes, please! Love stuff like this. ;D

I'm a big sucker for sci fi, I really love it, when it's well done. Cillian has done some mindblowing sci fi, even the so so one (In Time) was at least interesting. I still have to see Prometheus to check if old Ridley has done it again, but I'm pretty sure Michael is going to be awesome, even the bad reviews are saying he's brilliant. I'd also go for something from Duncan Jones or Vincenzo Natali. Moon and Cypher were very clever movies, I always prefer character driven sci fi, something a brilliant young actor can twist and bend at his will. I don't like big noisy blockbusters with too many explosions and car chases, I tend to fall asleep. My main concern in a movie is the script. If the script is good, then there are solid foundations. If the script is weak, no amount of car chases or SFX will save it. Then anything can happen (see the aforementioned In Time) in between, but the script is a start. And this is why I love so much Cillian & Michael: they can read a script, you can be assured there is going to be a reason if they chose a film, not only the paycheck. Sure they did a couple of stinkers each (poor Michael was starving, we're going to forgive him for Hex), but the average quality of their work is truly impressive. As impressive is going to be the cast for At Swim Two Birds, if they ever do it. The only problem is funding and it's a bad moment. They secured some last year, but it was not enough. I'm crossing my fingers for Brendan Gleeson's project, he deserves to succeeed, and I'm sure the boys will be more than ready to jump on board

I have Adrien Brody and David Fincher on my wishlist too. And At Swim Two Birds has to happen. I've liked Brendan Gleeson since... I can't even remember. I haven't dug in to Fassbender's career, but he's one of my boyfriends favorites. This is OT, but can someone recommend me any films he's in that aren't action/war? I just need to get some kind of a conception of him as an actor, and I don't think cheesy lines in action films will help me with that.

Alisa, I would recommend you the Fassbender movies Jane Eyre, A Dangerous Method and Shame. Okay... the last two I haven't seen yet LOL But what I saw from trailers and read in the web and press they are very good movies. Especially Shame. If you like the topic of sex-addiction.... Well, it's actually something serious. I'm sure Leyla can recommend you some more. Right, Leyla?

Zombiekitten: Shame seems to be the only one released on dvd here. It was released a week ago. I'll rent it next week. It's a topic that hasn't been overused in the film industry, so I'm expecting something thoughtful and refreshing.
