What is an air-cooled Roots vacuum pump?
Air cooled roots vacuum pump is a kind of Roots vacuum pump which can operate continuously under high pressure difference without overtemperature. It also has the advantages of high speed and small volume of ordinary roots vacuum pump. Its work and capital depend on the mechanical strength of the pump itself.
Air cooled roots vacuum pump adopts three blade rotor profile, which has large volume utilization coefficient and small volume. Equipped with a suitable motor and condenser, it can be started at any pressure or operated at any differential pressure. The air-cooled Roots vacuum pump can be used alone or form a unit. In some cases, that is, in the middle stage of the unit, the air-cooled Roots vacuum pump relies on the cooler outside the pump to achieve heat balance. If it is used as the end stage of the unit or separately, it can be cooled by air without condenser.

1. The load is very large;
2. Short extraction time;
3. High pumping speed is needed from low vacuum to high vacuum;
4. It is necessary to avoid the situation of ordinary pump working medium.
The pump and unit can be widely used in vacuum melting, vacuum drying, vacuum impregnation, vacuum distillation, vacuum degassing, aviation simulation experiment, gas transmission, vacuum suction, power station dust removal and other vacuum operations.
1、 How it works
When the air-cooled Roots pump is running, the extracted gas is vertically inhaled and vertically discharged. There are cooling air outlets at both ends of the pump to provide cooling air for the pump or use a cooler for cooling.
During the operation of the air-cooled pump, the rotor is driven by two synchronous gears, which rotate synchronously and reversely in the pump body, forming the process of upper air inlet, side air conditioner and lower air exhaust. Through the dynamic balance test, the rotor runs smoothly, the gearbox and lubricating oil are completely separated from the working chamber, and the working chamber is free of oil.
